I'm all over the buttons :-D I'll have to think long and hard over a good design! I had the CRAZY idea of making a LED one, but that'd be a bit costly. Maybe some for special events...For other button-traders who match my outfits (Steampunk one day, Homestuck the next)

I'll most likely do a new button as soon as I come up with a design I can do with my limited photoshop skills. (I have a tentative idea for minecraft meets Rift, but we'll see).

Plus...I use every chance I get to design something.
Just use the guide, and don't put anything critical like text outside of the dashed line.
Be sure to extend the colour beyond the solid lines though, just so you don't get any possible white bits creeping on the edges.
With their history, I am confident that you won't get any issues with positioning so long as you follow the supplied guides. That is the main reason they are the official supplier, we know they can deliver in time and don't botch it. They're very easy to work with.
The only quality issue that is commonly brought up is colour brightness, which is mainly because you're supplying the resources yourself and can't get a proof. Protip: colour correction isn't trivial and hardly any of you are pros, it's very possible it won't be like you expected. Did you calibrate your screen? Is your screen any good period? Do you know how to manage colour profiles? etc. It's not a huge issue but if it really is a concern then do your homework.
I am little bit worried that I might not attend the buttoneering meetup. I might have to catch my flight before the omegathon or have a hour to get to the airport. What can I do? I don't know when the Pre-PAX Dinner is going to happen at what time and I am a college student (no Bars for me in a looong tme)
Ooh, yeah, buttons. I'm in again. I know I'll create another small 50-run of my avatar with a different color palette, but I definitely need another original design for a larger 100-run. Hm hm, gotta think something up!

Well after last year I was able to trade enough buttons from the previous year to justify making a new button for this year. I have a rough concept pegged out but alas I am weak in the ways of photo editing.

After many loop-holes--and tons of convincing--I am doing the one I wanted to do last year. I am only gonna get maybe 100 of it, though. I have a butt-load from last year's awesome Daisy-Frog...and I think some from Year One (of the Buttoneering, that is) I will have a bonus button as well, but it will be for something else.
...May have bonus buttons for the Pokemon folks who trade/battle/Pokewalk with me as well. If I have enough finance that is.

I think I'm going to use a photo of one of my dogs. I know most people design/draw their logos, but I don't have the talent/software to do that...maybe a cute border collie is an acceptable substitute?

I have a magnet of Mr. T advertising for 1-800-Collect (remember!) from college saying 'Call your Mother'. It will always have a hallowed place on my fridge, and your button is a fine companion. It was even a favorite among my gaming group last year.
