thanks for the help, guys. I'm gonna read up on that after I polish this jameson off
in the meantime, I'm going to go ahead and vote for !munkus solely because I have some really vague and diaphanous memory of ZeroFill being really antagonistic but also really spot-on and accurate in a previous phalla game
Well, he also called Munkus out as a Special, but this early in the game he surely must be bluffing.
that level of surety is a little off-putting, actually, now that I reread his post. It's a little strange that he would make such a definitive statement that happens to shift the focus away from RMED, who is shaping up to be a bandwagon candidate. there's absolutely no way he could know that someone "definitely has a role" (unless he just meant villager or something)

Here is my defense:
I try, above all else, to make these games enjoyable. I like getting into the thick of the games.
Also, I've been a main character good-guy special in every single SE++ phalla game ever.
EDIT: Ok, maybe not the strangers with Candy one.

I mean seriously.
In the Heros phalla and the Heros reboot phalla I was a main character.
In the Harry Potter phalla I was Harry Fucking Potter.
And in the Pirates of the Carribean Phalla? Guybrush Threepwood.

Point of interest.
Why is he voting for me if he thinks I'm a special?
Specials help the village. The mafia guys kill villagers.
Therefore, Zerofill's lack of logic makes him a liability.
He also won't answer my randomly sent PM about me knowing he's a special and I'm gonna get him if he doesn't cough up exactly who he is.
I at least was hoping for a "screw you, buddy" or something, c'mon.
I did enjoy your fishing for responses actually, however
you sent the PM before all of the roles were even sent out!
And? You got yours by then. Right?

Clearly Zerofill is something.
I'm going to say naive goodguy special that dies on the first night.

btw is there like a Homestuck for Dummies somewhere
because not only do I not know what the different terms mean, but at this point in the game I don't even know what the terms are
rough outline
SGRUB is a magical video game that is the means by which universes are created
when a civilization is ripe for harvesting, all but a handful of children on the cusp of puberty are eradicated by a swarm of meteors
the surviving children are sucked into the video game
each kid has a planet that they have to quest on
there are also two warring armies based on chess pieces
the white army guards Skaia, the crucible of all creation. They regard the kids as saviors and work to help them win the game
the black army wants to attack and destroy Skaia, and will kill the children given the chance. This is who we're playing as.
About halfway through the game, the black army overtakes the white, and summons a swarm of meteors to rain down upon skaia and, through time travel nonsense, also upon the players' homeworld. At this point, the kids can either kill the black king, save Skaia, and create a new universe that they become the gods of, or fail to kill the black king, in which case it becomes a null session and that instance of Skaia is rendered barren and incapable of creating a new universe.
Some noteworthy black kingdom characters that will almost certainly play an important role:
THE ROYALTY The Black King. He's the strongest force the black army has, but he also serves as their last line of defense. The Black Queen. Almost as strong as the king, and has a more malicious streak to her. She's probably our best asset, if I had to guess I'd say she's gonna be our vigilante equivalent.
THE MUTINOUS CABAL Jack Noir/Sovereign Slayer. The queen's much put-upon assistant, he's extremely ambitious and wants to overthrow the Black Royalty to do things his own way. He's still opposed to the players' goals, but in Homestuck, the 12 trolls manage to strike up an uneasy alliance with him to get rid of the royalty. He's either gonna be a problem for us, or at best, neutral. If I had to guess I'd say him and the rest of the Cabal are masons who just need to survive through to the end of the game to win, since that's what they do in the story.
Draconian Dignitary. Nothing too noteworthy about him. He's a powerful black kingdom agent who is loyal to Jack Noir. He's depicted in the comic as cool-headed and calculating.
Courtyard Droll. He's also loyal to Noir, but he's also a huge dope and doesn't really pose a threat on his own.
Hegemonic Brute. Again, just another one of Noir's cronies. He's the muscle of the group.
TLDR: Kill Jack Noir and the other members of the Murderous Cabal, because at best they're gonna be neutral. Protect the black king and queen.
Assuming that the 12 Sgrubbers are based on the 12 trolls maybe it's worth running over them real quick?
THE ENEMY
Karkat The leader of the group, he's angry and yells a lot. Hasn't displayed any special powers in the comic, though the game gives him the title Knight of Blood.
Sollux A telekinetic computer hacker who can shoot eye lasers. The most likely story element that would get converted into a mechanic is the fact that he has a few "extra lives." Title's Mage of Doom.
Terezi A blind, particularly bloodthirsty troll. She has an obsession with the law and acts like a combination of Daredevil, Two-Face, and Judge Dredd. Since her title's the Seer of Mind she's probably their Seer.
Tavros A dopey, paraplegic troll with no self-confidence. He likes Peter Pan and pretends that he's Rufio from the movie Hook, and while he acomplished basically nothing in the comic he might have something weird in this game. Title's Page of Breath.
Gamzee A juggalo. He's spent most of the story being stoned out of his mind, but recently he's sobered up and revealed that he's a psychopathic murderer and far and away the strongest of the trolls. He is probably a priority target. Title is Bard of Rage.
Vriska A manipulative and murderous troll who has the power to control minds. Later on, she also gets the ability to steal luck from other people. Another one we wanna wipe out ASAP. Title is Thief of Light.
Aradia A time-traveling ghost-frog inside of a robot body. Uh, yeah. She's a pretty big player in the comic but god only knows how that's manifested mechanically. Her main duty is to make sure that all the time-traveling going on doesn't result in a paradox. She hates Vriska. Title is Maid of Time.
Kanaya Probably the most level-headed troll, she tries to settle disputes between all the others. Recently got murdered and reawoke as some sort of vampire? No idea what abilities if any she'd get in this game. Title is Sylph of Space.
Nepeta a furry that spends her time writing romantic fan fiction about all of her friends. Just a terrible person. Probably nothing special about her. Title is Rogue of Heart.
Equius An abnormally strong troll that can build robots. Has a penchant for horse porn and submission. Extremely protective of Nepeta. He's probably a relatively high threat? Title is Heir of Void.
Eridan A loser troll that tries to hit on anything that moves. Also a genocidal maniac. Whether he's got something special going on is iffy. Title is Prince of Hope.
Feferi The heir to the troll throne, she's abnormally benevolent for trolls. Also has the ability to commune with the Lovecraftian monsters that have engineered this ridiculous game. Probably nothing special about her. Title is Witch of Life.
TLDR: Gamzee/The Bard of Rage, Vriska/The Thief of Light, and Terezi/The Seer of Mind are probably our three biggest priority targets. Erdian/The Prince of Hope and Equius/The Heir of Void might also have special abilities. The others are probably just regular mafia members, but not necessarily.
I doubt these roles are gonna play into the game, but just in case it's worth running over them real fast:
THE GODS The Horroterrors Mentioned them above, basically terrible tentacle monster gods. Haven't really done much in the story up to this point so I doubt they'll matter.
Bilious Slick A frog deity that is the god of creation. Is tied to Skaia, and is a motherfucker we don't want showing up.
Lord English An omnipotent time-traveling demon that devours universes. He's not a part of the game of SGRUB and is related more to the overarching story of the comic so he probably won't be making an appearance. Has a gang of time-traveling mobsters called The Felt that rule over the troll's post-apocalyptic homeworld
Doc Scratch Every planet with intelligent life is assigned a "First Guardian," a super-powerful demi-god that's supposed to guide civilization and prepare it to one day produce SGRUB players. The first guardian is invariably created in SGRUB and then sent back in time to shortly after its assigned planet's creation to begin cultivating it. Doc Scratch is a special case in that he's also a servant of Lord English, and has been working to summon him to this universe. He is a master manipulator who has been guiding most of the major events in the players' lives. If he shows up in this game, I would guess that he's on his own faction, with a win condition to somehow summon lord english. My best guess is that he'd mostly be focused with fucking with the mafia, so while we wanna get rid of him eventually he should actually be helpful to us in the short-term. Maybe even our seer?
