Excerpt From a Recent Issue of the Derse Daily News:

The sky is high and the White King’s army is far away. That incompetent fool is no threat and he and his minions can be disregarded. But there is a new threat. A cult of 12 alleged heroes is infiltrating the Medium on a quest to destroy our kingdom and and create a horrible monster called Bilious Slick. Worse than that, they regard all of us and the world we inhabit as a trivial amusement by which they will win some silly prize! They must be stopped by any means possible!

Beware, they could be anywhere and look like anyone. These sneaks will try to confuse us and make us turn against one another!

RULES

As a reminder, while I am the public face of this game, Zaprat is working with me on this. Any posts or PM's by Zaprat have the same force and effect as if they were posted by me.

Role PM’s will be out shortly after the posting of this phalla.

All standard phalla rules are in effect. This means no anonymous contacts between players. There is no forwarding, quoting, screencapping or whatever of role PM’s to prove truthfulness, with the sole exception of those within your faction. Rephrasing of information is fine, but buyer beware. Deception is a key part of this game.

ProBoards are acceptable, but must be PM’ed to me. We encourage their use for coordination within factions.

Players must post at least twice per day and vote once per day. Votes will be posted in !bold red. Retractions may be posted in !bold lime. Retraction and revoting may take place in a single post. You cannot vote for yourself.

The vote always succeeds and is last in the order of operations. To be more explicit, a Guardian cannot block the vote. Ties will be broken by royal edict of the Black King. Supporting actions are first, followed by killing actions.

Questions can be asked !in orange and answered publicly, or asked via PM.

Voting closes at 9:00pm PST. Only posts with a timestamp of before 9:00pm PST will be accepted. Special actions must be PM’ed to Baidol by the same time. Players choosing to not use their ability must still state they are abstaining from action that day. The narration for the day will be up within a few hours of vote closure.

Specials should keep a close eye on their PM’s as certain things may change as the game proceeds.

There are no conversion mechanics in this phalla.

You are allowed one post following death. This post cannot contain any pertinent game information. No further communication involving the game with other players via posting, PM’s or other boards is allowed.

    For the sake of being able to reproduce events such as the ones from tonight, is it possible that the narration might be posted no earlier than a specific time after vote close (say, 12:15 EST?)


    The funny part of tonight was that the reason it was up so quickly was so people did not have to wait so long, but, yes, in the future the narrative will be posted no earlier than 9:10pm PST.
    Is WV voted on every day? Or do we only pick a new one when our last one dies?


    There is a new vote for WV every day. Yes, that means you must vote for a WV while the current one still has not acted yet.
    can we vote for ourselves for the WV thing?

    Yes.
    !Are we given indication of who the WV is? If we vote for the same person for death and the WV, do we see if it goes to the second or third choice?

    You will be told who the winner of the WV vote is and the sequence of succession, if necessary.
    Let's say the top winner of the cyan vote is a player who can inherit the role and gets killed.

    In second place we have a mafioso who can't inherit the role unless they receive first place.

    In third place we have an agent who can't inherit the role.

    There is no fourth place because somehow silly geese self-voting hasn't happened.

    Am I correct in thinking that nobody gets to be WV due to the no succession rule for mafia?

    Is there a busdriver?

    There is no busdriver.

    As stated before, this phalla is intended to reintroduce the game to the fine community of SE++ and using particularly complex secret roles would not be conducive to making a fun game when most of the players don't know what the hell is going on because this is their first phalla.

    To get this out out of the way, there is no thrall role, but that does not mean similar mechanics are not in play and certain specials should think carefully of the wording of role and special PM's they received.

    If it seems like I'm giving out too much information, see the second sentence.

    i'm just gonna throw this out there

    there's a lot more trolls than there are MC

    there seem to be two MC vigs and they're both stabs which means they're probably both jack

    whereas there's more than two troll vigs

    plus 10 troll votes that they can use to swing things, compared to 4 for the MC

    the only reason that the MC might be more of a threat is because it's a lot harder to find 4 people than 10

    Don't forget that it's possible (or even likely) that Pharezon isn't actually the vig, and merely the spokesperson for him or her.

    So Pharezon might actually be applicable for the role. Probably shouldn't put it to the test though.
