From the observation deck of the floating arcology you watch the city drift below you, the glare of a billion solar collectors dazzling as they drink up the sun. Over three hundred miles of steel and concrete stretch from the northern mountains through the southern desert, all of it as busy as a beehive even in the heat of the day. Sun City. Your city. A technological hotbed for more than a century, a city with such a flair for mad science that they eventually dropped the perjorative and simply called it 'bold'. A loose affliation of eggheads and technocrats all ruled by fiat. By one office. By one man.
The Sheriff.
There had always been a Sheriff in charge. There probably always will be. But today... today there will be a new Sheriff in town. Unlike his predecessors, who have been removed by means such as poison, bombing, and suborbital deathray, Sheriff Keel has willingly retired from office. Deputy Mahkie is his chosen successor, in what is hoped to be a smooth transition of power. Unfortunately, not everyone in the city is willing to just hand the reins over to a brown-nosing political hack like Mahkie. No, Deputy Pearl is the man to satisfy the malcontents. A hard man with a firm hand to smack the more unruly elements of the city back in line. Pearl's got a small but vocal contingent lobbying for him, and truth be told he wouldn't be so bad. At least, if it weren't for those rumors that he's seeing a lot of money coming in through backdoor deals with the Pax Pacifica...

WHAT IS THIS?
This is a Phalla. The size is set to [mini], and it will hold 25 [strike]victims[/strike]players plus reserves. If you don't know what a Phalla is - check HERE. It is a traditional Villagers vs Mafia Phalla. No factions. No conversions. Very little in the way of untested mechanics.

Voting
The only way to stop Deputy Pearl's stooges from selling out the highest office in the land is to eliminate them before they eliminate you. Each day, players must vote for one player to be run down by their fellow officers. Vote for the player who you find most suspicious in bold red with "!vote for <player name>" or similar phrase. You may retract a vote by posting "!retract vote for <player name>" or similar phrase in bold lime or change your vote by making another one in bold red. The player who receives the most votes will be eliminated. Should there be a tie in the vote, then all players involved in the tie will be eliminated, as well as the player that instigated the tie, whether that be due to a vote being placed or a vote being removed.
Voting will close each day at 6PM PDT / 9PM EDT / 1AM UTC; any actions before the hour (x:59) will count, any actions on the hour and later (x:00) will not.
Signing Up
Sign up with the phrase "I !sign up" or similar phrase in bold lime or other bright, easily visible color to ensure that your intent to play is acknowledged. Number of players caps at 25, any players after the first 25 will join as reserves ready to replace inactive players.
Inactivity
It is expected that players make at least two posts and a vote each day to be considered sufficiently active. A warning will be sent on the first day that this requirement is not met, and a replacement will be made on the second consecutive day of inactivity or third day overall. If there are no replacements available, then the player will be eliminated from the game.
Clarifications
Any questions about the general game rules may be made by highlighting the question in bold orange text. Answers will be posted in the thread and collected in the below section. Player-specific inquiries that are not addressed in the general rules may be asked via PM to the host, Ringo. Please note that there may be mechanics or details which will not be answered and kept hidden until the end of the game.
Other Rules
Standard Phalla rules apply: no sharing of host-provided PMs via screenshots and direct quotation. However, information may be shared indirectly, such as through rephrasing. No anonymous contact is allowed. All messages must be traceable to a player in the game.
If any players create "proboards" for private communication, please send a link for it to the host, Ringo.
