I miss the non-adamantium feral Wolverine, who couldn't talk and surfed NYC's trains, too.
On the general subject of X-books, how are they now? I haven't read any consistently since Onslaught, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what's going on with them. I read something online about second mutations or something, which seemed a bit hokey.

Standard response extolling the virtues of Astonishing X-Men, X-Factor, and New X-Men.

Adjectiveless is pretty good right now, if a little weird.
Uncanny has just finished a big story arc which was really good. There were a few little things that bugged me but overall it was pretty sweet.
X-Factor has just straight up awesome from the first issue. So awesome.
Astonishing sort of swings between really damn good and jesus christ joss whedon what the hell is wrong with you stop that. Also really long gaps between issues.
Everyone else seems to love New Xmen but I though it turned terrible after the second or so story arc post-HoM. I don't know if that's just me or what.
X-Factor has just straight up awesome from the first issue. So awesome.
Last I remember about X-Factor was that it was a US Government-run team that was falling apart (the Forge, Mystique, Wildchild, Sabertooth, Shard team). What's up with them now? I believe Richter and Jamie Madrox are on the team, but don't know any more than that.

They're a detective agency and the defenders of Mutant Town, the slum for homo superiors.

Slight correction: former homo superiors. Aside from X-Factor themselves, there's very few actual mutants left in Mutant Town. Most of them lost their powers in the Decimation.
Does anyone know of a good site for the 52 covers? I wanna use them as desktop backgrounds. The one gallery that I found has them at a bigger resolution than my screen.
i remember someone posting them over at 4chan a while back, you could always ask there
But that would mean he'd have to look at 4chan.
Does this mean I need to wade through 4chan? I'm pretty sure my soul can't take it.

The X-books are the best they have been in a long time right now.
Astonishing takes the top spot.
Then X-Factor and Uncanny and X-Men are all tied for awesomeness.
The New X-Men is just slightly behind them (but still awesome)
New Excalibur and Exiles don't count. Also, they are fucking awful. But they don't count so its ok.
Edit: Salmon what the hell are you talking about in Astonishing, it has been consistently incredible, aside from maybe some pacing issues, but again alot of that can be attributed to the non-monthly schedule.
Spider-Man, by putting him into a place where he can't use his voice without destroying something he loves, no because it'd be a foot race, Superman can cut your head off with heat vision from space, doesn't matter, the real test is in which one could fuck your mom the best.

Why does it have to be a foot race?
Does Silver Surfer have his junk anymore? I guess Thor gets that one...
More important arm wrestling match: Juggernaut v. Hulk.
Hulk would destroy Juggernaut, unless Juggy can make his arm-movement unstoppable as well.
They brainwashed Hulk and had them team up in one issue. When he broke free, he one-shotted Juggy and the entire group of heroes that they were fighting.
we don't really do the whole who would beat x and how thing outside of the tournament threads
although we haven't had one for a while
Wasn't that a one-time thing?
there were two
I viewed them as one event. Maybe the second wasn't planned in conjunction with the first, but they were still close enough for the second to register as a continuation.
Anyway, I meant that I thought nobody intended either or both to be repeated until such a point when the majority of the people here couldn't even remember the first two.
Or was there a tournament even before the Heroes and Villains one I remember?
There may be more in the future, but I wouldn't consider them to be something that's going to happen with any real regularity, and probably none will be run the same as the first two. It's mainly just to get that impulse nearly everybody gets to argue over inane bullcrap like that off our chests, and as long as people aren't taking it too seriously, it can be pretty fun.
I think the forum got kind of burnt out on them by the end of the villain tournament, so it seemed like a good idea to hold off on a new one for a while. Also, I don't exactly have time to run an event quite as involved as I did with the hero tournament, so anything else would have to be radically different (and less time consuming on my end) or run by someone else. Or some combination of the two. I think I've got something in the works, but I haven't really had any discussions with the person I was talking to about it in a few weeks, so it's probably still a little ways off.

I still miss Synch.

...well, some of Torn, too, but that's mostly because we didn't know what the fuck was going on until like the fifth issue of a six-issue arc.

Although come to think of it, I don't think /co/ (Comics & Cartoons) is a blue-background board. Still, porn and such isn't allowed on it.
Edit: Nevermind, it does have a blue background.
Anyway, the key thing is to stay out of /b/.

Dear lord -- 4chan is the armpit of the internet. I found nothing. My search continues.
I imagine his suit has a trapdoor in the back like footie pajamas.
I thought it was sexcellent.

Try not to look at anything in /r/.
I mean, I don't know if my shop is getting any, what with the horrendously limited print and all.
How can (has) anyone defeat Black Bolt if he can kill anything by speaking?
If Dr. Strange can teleport, doesn't that mean he can beat The Flash in a race?
Couldn't Dr. X take out Superman pretty easily?
Who wins in an Arm Wrestle: Thor or Silver Surfer?

No, but I do have experience with getting 30% off at their brick-and-mortar stores!

Could you get it at the same price from your store?
maybe he works there and get's the employee discount?

Also, if Hulk's so strong, can he punch through a shield made by the Green Lantern?
Can Hulk arm wrestle Superman and stand a chance?
