Holy crap was that his heart in the bag? This was for little girls? o_O

It was fairly terrifying when the captured ponies were turned into horrible dragons, too.

But I think one of my favorite aspects is how the ponies react to the Rainbow of Light when it starts trashing shit. Watch after 20:40 . . . they're lying low with their mouths hanging open, trying not to get hit by flying rubble as they think, "What have we unleashed??" I really love that the Rainbow was animated that way instead of being something gentle. Instead it's a nigh uncontrollable force of nature.

I haven't watched the live action MLP play. Frankly, I'm afraid too.

I've never managed to get through an entire Newborn Cuties episode, but I've seen parts. *shudder*

Midnight Castle should be the only other NON G4 pony thing other people should watch, but the other......abominations.......should be stayed away from. Those and maybe sea ponies, can't get their damn song outta my head.

WELP, gonna rock this avatar/sig till the next season comes through. Fluttershy, what have you done to me.

I watched all of MLP Live and 2 full Newborn Cuties in Synchtube. I'm a glutton for punishment, but it wasn't even close to being worth it. I know you probably don't believe me, but MLP Live actually gets much worse from what is in that video.

If you liked the backgrounds at the Gala, here's an omg huge vector wallpaper of Pinkie's. I think ShelltoonTV will be doing the others as well.

so, this probably got posted a while back, likely in the first or second thread, but I don't care. it just got linked to me, and it's great. The Rainbow Dash bits made me burst out laughing when they first came up.

Just to be a trollestia I would like to point out that this is one of the very first amvs to appear ever for mlp:fim. But yeah, it's a very good one.

Best Night Ever is an episode that is calling out to me. It's saying "PikaPuff, stop ditching everyone during PAX to get all the swags. Hang out with your friends and have fun." To which I say, fuck you i love my dinner dash apron, fuck friendship.

Derpy gets to be a character? That's nice.
I'm hoping she stays mostly a background pony. Maybe have the occasional little cameo like in Feeling Pinkie Keen, but not an actual character character.

I also continue to hold out hope for more Zecora.

word is that she won't be anymore featured than she has been over the last season. She's basically being made into a more intentional "where's waldo" kind of thing

I really like what the did for Season 1. Each episode was self-contained, but a few episodes reference a future event that would end up being the focus of the finale. For Season 2 I think more episodes could contribute to that finale build-up. Disrupting the show's premise with story arcs would probably not be the best idea.

And the finale made me want fanart with an alternate Twilight failing her test and wind up working at the donut shop.

It would be like Cheers, only with donuts. And ponies.

I disagree with this, but I know I'm in a small minority. I don't think he's a very good storyteller, but I think he's a great director. Or he works with amazing cinematographers. I own Lady in the Water and The Village expressly because I think they are beautifully filmed.

We should discuss what religions the individual ponies practice. Applejack is a Southern Baptist, Pinkie Pie is an Amish Mennonite currently on Rumspringa, Rarity is Catholic, Twilight is a witch, Fluttershy is a Celtic pagan (the other ponies don't like to talk about the wicker pony) and Rainbow Dash worships the Greek pantheon.

Also, At The Gala continues in the tradition of Sondheim-ian songs, as this one was like Into The Woods.

Also, I just realized that Party of One was basically taking Neil Gaiman's criticism of ultra-Disneyfied and turning it into something creepy.

Actually, all that happened was that somebody noticed Lauren uploaded a sonogram photo to her public Facebook profile and told everyone she's pregnant when she hadn't meant to tell people yet. I think it's very silly that Lauren was surprised people saw a public photo and she shouldn't have called us stalkers. She made another comment on her page that backtracked a bit and said she wasn't really angry, she was just surprised. So I guess it's ok, although I seem to be the only person who thinks that she shouldn't be annoyed that public information is public.

But then everyone went LAUREN U LEAVING BCAUSE PREGNANT????? and that is a bit of a problem.

    Something lighter, though.

Hmm. You know, I'd like to say Twilight's actually an atheist, but that's kind of hard to do when you live in a world ruled directly by God Herself rather than priestly middlemen. Plus she regularly recieves letters from God, so... yeah.

So I'd say Twilight is one of those Protestant denominations that don't describe themselves as a belief, but as a personal relationship with Celestia.

She dislikes believing in anything that isn't provable, or at least documented in some factual way.

Magic provably exists, as does Celestia, so believing in them doesn't really contradict an atheist mindset.
