Club PA 2.0 has arrived! If you'd like to access some extra PA content and help support the forums, check it out at patreon.com/ClubPA
The image size limit has been raised to 1mb! Anything larger than that should be linked to. This is a HARD limit, please do not abuse it.
Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Okay, I just thought of something, I don't know who is up for it, but I think this would be wonderful.
I would like to suggest that people who know about this idea participate. Basically, I want people to high five everyone they see with a hand up for a high five. Walk down the hall, toss up a hand, and count on someone slapping you a high five.
This would be a great way to unify us. See a forumer? High five! Walking through a crowded hall? Fish for a high five.
People need to be able to count on eachother for some camaraderie here, and high fives. Well they are just totally rad.
Make PAX 2007 the year of the High Five!
EDIT: I vote everyone who wants in get an ID t-shirt with your forum name on it. We can then be in the know as to who is safe. If you want to live dangerously, take a risk. Hit up a stranger, most people around are kooky and nice, they might just nail that hand because it's there!

Well of course it will fail with that attitude. We can't have negative Nancy's in this. Not to mention, this would be easier if we posted pics, at least that way, we could ID those who are in for a high five.
So that means one in ten people will hit your five. I dunno about you, but there are at least that many people in eyeshot at any given time all weekend.
also its not like a hi5 is some bizarre cultural phenomenon, Im sure most excited nerds would be more then happy, if they knew about this thread or not.
-flyers for everyone online explaining that if you see an outstretched hand, high five it. (and whatever other ideas you can fit on the flyer)
-Walk down the line explaining the same
-Take the group of people who said yes here, and run around demanding high fives from everyone until it naturally catches on (or you're declared insane and avoided like the plague)

Basically have your arm up and just yell "HIGH FIVE!" and be excited and people will high five if they're goofy enough. and most people at PAX will.
Did this plenty of times at previous PAX events. You just hold out your arm when you are on the escalator or walking past a line so people going the other way can give you a Hi-5. You do not need to plan out months in advance to hi-5 someone.

Dude, stop being the party pooper. This isn't about some random occurance where you stick out a high five and hope to get nailed. This is about people here joining together with other people in order to plan on being silly and having a good time. We just want to be goofs and slap some skin. More than anything, we are playing around on the forum and making connections. High fives aren't the point. The point is to make friends.

Yeah. We're nerds here. We plan. Especially when it comes to spontaneity.
But so is holding my DS, and swag bag, and money, and the event schedule (and maybe a map??), and my pockets. My hands may be too busy for high fives. Thumb up snaps: I can do. But I don't know if I can commit to high-fives.

A lot of people who come don't read the forums.
Yeah, but enough people know enough people to make this workable. As long as we have cooperation, this could be grand.
High-five?
Count me in.
Maybe, if I'm good and drunk it'll work.
I'm more friendy and a people person when I'm drunk.

No. Just... no.
Oh come on, step up to the challenge. be a man. or...... no, don't be a man, but step up to the challenge.
HIGH FIVE!
I can be a man if you want me to be
This plan is genius incarnate.
Now THATS a high five!
I am, but I'm trying to find a site that makes custom shirts in black. Because white shirts are evil and get messy too easily.
Here,http://www.spreadshirt.net/shop.php?sid=188587&affiliate=323541, this is an alright site for them
