Maybe he made a dunadan-like list. Only...with real bad guys on it.

Speaking of which... Duna, why were you continually stating in the thread that special damage could not be guarded against, even when the OP as much as said that it could be in some cases, and people pointed this out to you?

It wasn't melding at all, we had a little proboard going and Solar named you to the group (which included monkeyfeet). No one else was naming names on that board.

So yeah, the Experiments were pretty much a trap that the mafia fell for. Both mafias.

I didn't leak shit. solar told everyone.

Solar told me because i contacted you and you were shady as shit. and i was talking to solar about doing something about you and he was like "oh, SLyM's one of mine, don't worry about him"

And then he told everyone in our network. We'll open the proboard for what its worth when Wiet gets on.

I don't really see how being the village guard network and saying "I don't want to tell you who we are" is being shady. Our goal was to prevent you from obtaining one of your win conditions.

    My role PM:
    …the Scientist

You've worked your whole life for the Guild, the premier research and development mind in the whole galaxy. At least, that's what the numbers say.

Three of your subjects are out there doing god-knows-what, and you know the enemy are desperate to convert them. You cannot let that happen!

    Faction: Pinnacle Guild
    Sub-faction: Specialist
    Life: 25
    Attack: You have no attack!

    Abilities:
SCIENCE!: When used on a member of the Experiment sub-faction, they recover 50 Life at the end of the action order and they are immune to Conversion attempts on that night.

    Victory Conditions

You win as long as a non-converted Experiment survives to the end of the game.

I quickly networked with two of the experiments, El Skid and Heavy Villain, both of which were very lucky for me to have found as early as I did. Heavy Villain contacted me because we formed Primaphorior and won in Phallakinetic Armageddon, and he wanted help.

I immediately made it clear to Skid and Villain that I was out for the experiments, first and foremost, and that I believed that the experiments should team up with me, since, you know, their survival was my win condition.

Evidently, Villain didn't like being left in the dark by the Arcadians, and was totally up for that deal. He wanted to know if I knew of a Pinnacle converter. I told him I'd keep him in the loop. Meanwhile I kept using SCIENCE! on El Skid.

Each day this unlocked a new ability. The first was Hardcode, which allowed me to prevent the conversion of an experiment for 2 days. The next was Nanotechnology, which allowed me to choose a target at whom a repair would be aimed for the next three consecutive days (I tried using this on 38th doe, but it didn't end up working out). The final ability I researched was called Loyalty, however it was a day late due to the Exigent Organization's attack on me.

Prior to that, I was trying to play all the sides. I contacted as many organizations as I could, and tried as hard as I could to not be threatening. But, seeing as I was attacked and miraculously guarded by someone I didn't even know possessed a guard (Skid was busy that night, making sure his newly outed self was safe), I got all irritated. Why should I be passive if it's just going to get me dead?

The same day, I was informed by Warban, my contact in Alpha team, that Fiaryn had been seered as an Exigent converted experiment. So I contacted him, laid out my plans on the table, including that I figured loyalty was going to be able to bring him back into the fold with me, and that he should stick with the dude whose win condition involved his survival.

He decided to take the Gambit.

As it turned out, I researched Loyalty the next day, which was a power I could use to either create members of alpha and/or beta team, or convert an experiment to the Pinnacle Guild. Turns out science rules. I converted Fiaryn for his ultimately posthumous victory, and the rest was pretty much cleanup.

Man everyone got cool powers :( Mine was kinda puny compared.

    …a Sentry

You would quite literally die for the Pinnacle Guild. Which is excellent news, because they quite literally expect you to.

    Faction: Pinnacle Guild
    Sub-faction: Specialist
    Life: 50
    Attack: 20 (physical)

    Abilities:
Sacrifical Guard: Reduce the attacks sent towards a target by 50. If the target is killed, you die in their place. Used as well as an attack.

    Victory Conditions

Eliminate the forces of the Arcadian Order and the Exigent Organisation.

Once it had gotten down to that point and the issue about using the vote properly had been raised, I figured it was safe to step forward. I also thought I might get bandwagoned the next day by Rend (who I was certain was networked with somebody at that point.) I wasn't going to directly help anyone win, except to solve the murder of Infidel/Ledfini/Partner. Nobody was giving me anything better than the "I gave the order for the good of the village!" comment, so I eventually went with that.

Fun fact: I nearly used my superkill on Rend the night I used my only double-kill, which oddly enough wasted a mafia member in the process. I wasted my fair share of Mafioso.
