Rydge propped his carbine on the headrest behind Deke revealing a clear shot at the bikes attempting to flank the speeder. He watched with frustration as his blaster bolt barely scorched the armor of the lead bike.
The remaining bikers paid no heed to the death of one of their companions. With cold precision, they begin to fire on their targets with little regard for their own safety. The remaining swoop that had been pursuing Jenn tries to pull the same manuever as she had and slams on the breaks. As Jenn zips past him, he opens fire on her. However unlike her, his aiming leaves something to be desired as the shots go wide.
The pair of swoops following Deke open fire on him and his companions. The first swoop pilot comes in at a trajectory that is obviously meant to either cripple or destroy the landspeeder with one surgical strike. However just as he depresses the firing button, he narrowly misses a tree that sends his shot off course. The group can hear his curses as he has to focus all of his attention on keeping upright in his seat. The biker manages to avoid any serious damage however, and resumes his pursuit of the landspeeder.
The remaining pursuer goes for a less subtle approach as he unleashes a barrage of fire around the landspeeder, clearly hoping that at least a few of the multitude of shots will find their mark. Some quick reflexes from Deke keep them out of danger however. The biker reaches under his robe and pulls a comlink out. The group cannot make out what he is saying into it, but he speaks in an urgent matter. It doesn't take a cunning linguist to know that he was calling for backup.

In an expert show of piloting, Jennsen veered hard to port, bringing herself into an interception of their line of fire. She unclipped her holster, pulled out her DT-12...
And let go of the controls. She pivoted her entire upper torso around, gripping the weapon in both hands, closing one eye.
Picture the shot in your mind, Jennsen, and shoot. Don't think, shoot, whispered... someone in the back of her mind.
She shot, and the blaster bolt drilled into his head, knocking him right off of his swoop.
At the last second before the speeder seemed ready to be smashed between a pair of trees, Deke wrenched the controls and rotated the ship almost a full ninety degrees. He flattened out the speeder's path before Cado was rocked out of the gunner's station. As he continued to weave between the trees, the swoop bikers behind found themselves with a great deal less room to fire.
As the group of combating speeders continue to fly haphazardly through the forest, the two remaining bikers close in on their respective targets, hoping to recoup their losses. The biker to the west of the landspeeder swoops in closer and begins to spray the area again in a desperate attempt to hit any and everyone in the vicinity. Several of the shots find their mark, striking the Adonel-family Speeder across the hull. Deke has to jerk the control yoke left and right trying to regain control. Sparks were shooting up from where the shots hit the hull, pelting its occupants with them.
At the same time, the other biker continues to fire upon Jennsen, hoping to blow his swoop up beneath her. However her flying is much too skillful and she continues to evade his shots.
Both bikers continue to swerve between the trees, trying to keep up with their prey.
As Rydge and Cado try to keep from being flung from the jolts, they both spot two more shadows swooping in to their west. "Deke, we've got more coming!" Cado had to shout over the noise of combat and the wind whipping through the cockpit.

Cado took aim and fired at one of the bikers. A thick black smoke started pouring out of the engine. Cado smiled as the pilot tried to check his engine, while his rear end started fishtailing.
Placing her pistol back in its holster, Jennsen gunned the engine to keep up with the rest of the group. The smoking swoop in front of her veered into her sights and she finished it off, the hit causing the bike to lose all power and drop to the forest floor, exploding in a golden ball of fire.
Deke reached under the console of the speeder and pulled a wire, throwing a few sparks.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"Overriding the throttle control... you ready?"
"What?"
Deke punched the throttle to maximum and the engines whined into overdrive. He passed through the trees at breakneck speed, narrowly avoid a few of them and getting some distance from the pursuing bikers.
Deke quickly put more distance between himself and the two remaining pursuers. One of the bikers tried to repeat his companions tactics and opened up with a salvo of shots on them, but at the greater distance there was very little danger of one of the bolts actually finding its mark.
The final biker began cursing and fired upon Jennsen, trying to knock her from her bike. However his shots also were off mark, Jennsen continued to speed away from them, only looking back to gesture at them in what she hoped was a rude wave.
Knowing they were now outgunned and essentially outmanned, the bikers both let out howls of frustration and started to break off the pursuit. One of them looked back at them to smile at them sinisterly before opening up the throttle and heading the opposite direction from the group.
Bikers break off the pursuit and turn to leave. If you want to pursue them, you are welcome to, or let them go. If you don't pursue feel free to RP anything like checking on the landspeeder, regrouping, whatever. Once you give me the go ahead I'll post the next section.

Cado and Jennsen gave each other knowing looks. Things had turned from bad to worse. Jennsen looked to the others with resolve on her face. "We don't know that. For all we know they're a completely different player in this story. Regardless, our mission is still to find the Princess, and currently the only choice we have is that compound."
As she checked her gear and holstered her weapon, Deke did a quick once-over of the landspeeder. It had seen better days, but it would still get them to their destination. Rydge and Deke had several cuts and bruises on their faces, but they would live.
With very few options before them, Hellion team continued towards their target. Keeping an alert eye on the trees as they travelled, the daylight waned into twilight by the time they reached a large hill that overlooked the pirate compound.
Parking their speeders behind some trees, the group crept out to look down at their objective. It was surprisingly large, easily taking up several acres of land. Lookout towers dotted the outer perimeter, and the entire complex was encompassed by a tall stone wall. A large gate at the front appeared to be the main entrance. Two guards could be seen standing at each side of the gate. While they couldn't be certain, it was almost assured that there were snipers in the lookout towers.
Deke headed off into the woods that circled the large compound. He skillfully stepped amongst the brush, making sure to move swiftly and quietly as he went.
After making it nearly halfway around the compound, he spotted some tracks that were not of animal origins. It appeared some tracked vehicles had once gone through the area towards the back of the compound wall. Staying low, the young man follows the tracks towards what appeared to be the solid wall surrounding their target.
Just as he was about to turn back around, Deke noticed that the tracks ended about 20 meters before the wall. Upon closer inspection, he found that there was actually a ramp build into the grass that looked to go down into a subterranean level of the compound. From afar it appeared to be level grass...anyone inspecting the compound wouldn't notice it. Deke smiled to himself, thinking, "Pretty sneaky hiding that in plain site like that." Peering down into the opening he saw no signs of guards.
Seated on a well cushioned bench in the corner of his quarters Rogroth stared down at the Sabacc cards in his hand and shifted them back and forth with his fingertips. Despite the fact that he had tallied his score more than a dozen times but he still couldn't believe it, a negative seven. He glowered across the small circular table he was seated behind at R4 who was clutchin it's cards in a claw-like appendage that jutted out from the diminutive droid's body. It's signle optic sensor was locked on Rogroth and it's cold expression always afforded it an advantage whenever they played cards, which was why he only chose to challenge the droid when he was desperate. He slapped the cards down on the table and did his best to sound confident.
"Negative seven, not too shabby...;"
R4 deposited it's cards on the table and exhibited a perfect 23. The utter lack of any joy at this accomplishment made Rogroth want to kick the little droid in frustration.
"Alright you little trash compactor I'll empty the waste storage tanks after I realign the weapon sensors and overhaul the engines." A sharp beep from R4 made a veing in the Zabrak's eye twitch irrtiably. "No I didn't froget that I have to fix the cargo bay door as well."
Swepping the cards off of the table with is feet and sending them scattering across the floor Rogroth put his feet up and looked at his crhono with disgust. They'd been waiting for hours without so much as a whisper from the rebels."Is this really any way for two enterprising indivduals like us to be spending our lives R4? Ordered to wait aboard our own ship like valets while those damned rebels run around getting themselves killed doing who knows what. They're lucky I don't just turn them into the Empire. Bet I'd make more of their bounties than they could ever afford to pay me."
A sullen tone echoed from R4 as the droid turned and rolled out of the room on it's treads. "Well of course you like them, they're hopless dreamers just like..."
At this point R4 had vanished down the hall and Rogroth was forced to stand up and tread to the door after the droid. "...don't you roll away when I'm talking to you!" He could hear the droid as it continued to move steadily towards the engine's, probably planning to run a diagnostic.
Disgusted and creeping back towards bordeom Rogroth moved to his bunk and drew a small object wrapped in a tattered grey scrap of cloth out from beneath it. He set the cloth down on the table as though it were a newborn child and began to unwrap it. Wrapped in the cloth was a frequency scanner that he had acquired several years ago on Ryloth, the device was capable of picking up all sorts of communications and it usually proved to be an excellent distraction. The frequency scanner was one of the Zabrak's favored possesions, it was also highly illegal and something that he dreaded being disocvered with. Any Imperial who spotted it who have a license to lock him up on a prison barge for at least a few months, and once you were isnide an Imperial prison you rarely came back out.
He flipped the scanner on and began adjusting it trying to pick up on some interestign chatter. Maybe whatever the rebels' were up to had drawn the attention of the local authroties. Listening to the blow by blow of their high speed escape might be a good way to pass the time.
