Awesome. That's at least two for an STF. I'm shooting for around 9 ish? That cool with you?

And I'm totally down for shooting Klingons with you TOG.

I have been addicted to Tribble the past couple days. The new ground is Soooo good. I'm a little embarrassed to admit, but I dreamed about it last night. It was a weird infamous 2/star trek ground combat cross over. It is a wonderful omen.

9 server time? That works for me.

Is there generally one kind of shield array that works best for cruisers? I just turned in a mission and it gave me a choice of either a Shield, Resilient, Covariant, or Regenerative shield array. Now, I've watched quite a bit of Star Trek in my time, but I still have no idea which one is best.

personally I'm a fan of resilient, but I'll admit that it's not like I've tested each one in combat and the numbers favor resilient. I just think it's awesome that it reduces the amount of damage done.

That said, I love running around with my aegis set and I think the aegis shield is a covariant, but then again, it's all part of the set and those set bonuses tend to skew things.

I thought it defaulted to the server time, but could be set to display local time at will.
I remember I didn't realize this early on and was playing quite a bit later then I thought.

The Breen shield is a resilient type, I use that one up to the aegis. I find that resilient is good for a science ship with high base shields and low hull strength, but the covariant is much better on my escort. Not sure about cruisers.

So cryptic is kind of dumb.

Two new C-store bridge officers that cost 100 points a pop (and not account wide) and wow... they both have all ground traits.

If they wanted to sell shit they'd put something up there with a decent space trait and everyone would buy 5 of them.

There is sidekicking, I'm not sure if that would let you tag along on an STF, but you can't get the missions for them yourself until RA. We can certainly test it tonight.

STFs are ra and up only. You share the missions with someone lower, but they can't get into the transwarp to GO. Unless someone knows some way to trick that?

    Man, that video.

I love how they try to make the ground combat scenes look cool by having officers fire a shot or two then fading away.

What you aren't seeing: The next 15 shots that it takes to drop a minion.

Also: There are 500 minions in the mission.

I know what my next character will be. Help me think of awful furry names.

Also skip the crystalline entity when it gives it tk you. It's a fleet action. And you cam get better exp from other quests.

I used to wish that we could have one (or more) of our bridge officers follow us around when we go to ESD/Vulcan/etcetera. Now, I realize that this would only increase the number of dancing, scantily-clad cat people I have to see when I visit ESD.

In an unrelated note, I just noticed that my CO lifer stipend does not apply toward STO purchases. Part of me is sad, because that means I may need to spend monies on cyberbux at some point. The other part of me is grimly smug, because I totally called it a couple threads back and everyone thought I was nuts.

I think I was one of the people who said "I don't see why not," but you know, in retrospect, it should have been obvious. The 500 points I got with my DDE didn't work in CO. Seems any points you don't actually pay for are locked to the game you get them in.

Edit: New engineering report is up. TL;DR version:
Borg invasion pushed back to season 4 release
Klingons are getting sorties in other sectors, some of which will be open PVP joinable by Federation players who want to stop them.
Splitting aim (+damage done) and crouch (-damage taken) into two separate controls
    Daily Sol/Quo'nos events
New Defiant class ship listed as "in development"
Vesta class ship dropped from the list (probably couldn't get the rights from the book author)

Yep, the Infected run went pretty darn well. For the people who missed out on it, another is planned for tomorrow, a little bit earlier than this one. 7pm eastern this time. If a different time would work better, just let me know and I'll try to plan accordingly.

For the next main run what should we do? The Cure?
