Yann, fight club is an excellent movie, and I'll fight you for that. As long as it isn't taken too seriously that is, the "I should start a fight club" crowd is pretty stupid!
And IEM taking LoL over Quake is quite sad, they could at least have taken the good dota clone, HoN. Not the one that removes one of the most important mechanics for that kind of game.
I have a feeling that DotA is still the most balanced game in the genre. The only problem I have with it is a lack of MM and having to deal with the Australian DotA community.
Oh and people just leaving all the time, bitching about lag. All that shit.
8 other people are not lagging, it is on your end, fuck you.
That and they constantly add new champions, and patch the game at least monthly. Imagine if blizzard added a new units every other week, but you had to buy it and they nerfed it two weeks later. One large patch a month at least that changes game balance as well. People would be furious, not sure why LoL players put up with it, not like there isn't a lack of options.
Anyways enough about LoL, I am just glad blizzard does such a good job with this game.
this is probably a snotty attitude but I can't get into a game where I have to rely on 4 other players
I could watch it though, I'll probably give it a try next tourney. lots of characters to learn though.
It's fun.
Not fun when you take it seriously, though.
Cause at least ~30% of the time, yeah, the game gets thrown before it begins by one of your 4 teammates.
e: And I don't mean to imply it's a skill-less game or whatever, still comes largely down to your map awareness, strength of your build, micro, how well you understand the meta game and motivate your team to play towards it...
kedinik on
I made a game! Hotline Maui. Requires mouse and keyboard.
No Vari you're not alone, I cannot play pub DotA.
I played in a clan back when you could buy aegis of the immortal, and it gave you 3 revives.
Also when you could use blink dagger regardless of having been hit.
I was actually good back then, Tiny for lyfe. Toss is pretty much one of the best skills ever.
I only had like, 2 good clanmates though, it was sad.
that goon control around those mines is unfathomable
That moment is one of the most vivid memories I have of being in awe of a Starcraft player. Being able to hear the crowd's reaction to it added so much, too.
I don't know what that dude's deal was. He had some nerve though trying to shit talk people via league, especially from anywhere that isn't Master League.
One base roach? Yeah that'll work most of the time.
2 bases if you want to show off I guess.
Dude I was tip top diamond when it was introduced doing 5RR every game vs P or T and transitioning if it failed. And 12 hatch off double extractor trick roaching in zvz.
Okay, after, like...I can't even remember how many months of not playing, I want to try and start laddering again. Maybe get myself out of bronze finally.
Given all the recent changes to Protoss and the techniques people have learned, what's a good opening for me to just do over and over until my macro actually becomes decent enough for me to start worrying about the complexities of this game?

I really hope he wins a round before MMA knocks him out.

If by tomorrow you mean the session starts in 5 hours then yes.
He is up third though.
SF4, and thanks for that. I got decent at blanka but I never really got a grasp on that game.

Where are the replays against me?!

There's that much of a history...?

Yeah, it was either HDR or SF4, but it has definitely been going on for several years for me.

Woo! Grats.
So are promotions working and points not at the moment ?
Or points back on.

note: I made marauders and researched stim in that replay
Pffft. Masters league. What do you know?

Now where did that little munchkin go. I havent promoted a bloodbath before, I was sooo looking forward to it.
Point of order question. If the WFC split his two (Bo3) series against me, do we have to have a Thunderdome match to settle it?
Joe's Stream.
rofl, I was JUST thinking this
nice one Vari, been long-deserved
Plat felt so good.

Misinterpreted your post.
Thought it was like "Man back in Plat it was easier than being in diamond now."
Look what my assumptions have wrought.
Dude I was tip top diamond when it was introduced doing 5RR every game vs P or T and transitioning if it failed. And 12 hatch off double extractor trick roaching in zvz.
The suffering!
I wasn't particularly hurt. I was going to write a humorous post ending but got distracted because Dexter is awesome.
But I'm glad that my impeccable game knowledge gave the impression that I'm diamond!

So that roaches can be best at everything always.
But I suppose that would throw the 2s balance off like reapers when combined with guardian shield.
PA zergs use roaches better and more than anyone I've faced on ladder.

Probably my own fault from being up till well past 3 and waking up at 7.
