I was hoping the thread would be more about the 1960s Batman TV series, currently airing 1-2 times every night on The Hub. It had a lot more well-known guest stars than I originally thought it did. Last night I was watching an episode and the guest villain looked familiar. I'm thinking, "I know that guy. Who's that guy?" and then the second episode of the two-parter rolled credits and it turns out it was Art Carney. They also had episodes with Vincent Price, Milton Berle, a brief cameo by Jerry Lewis, and several other names where I had no idea they appeared in a Batman episode.
Morrison writes the best villain dialogue, and Dr. Hurt is him just turning all the valves to eleven. He's so cartoonishly evil he becomes intimidating.

everything is resolved in literally real life years later
but that issue is basically a giant clusterfuck
really because at the end I was thinking "that dude is totally insane and can't be trusted to tell the truth about anything, who knows who he really is", and I was right
plus Batman didn't die in that crash, you should read the follow-up trade Time and the Batman

And while I love Taskmaster (and I do) he really is a villain for guys like Cap and Wolverine, he's not a Doom or a Loki or a Magneto, those guys are the real heavyweight villains.
Actually thinking about it I would have gone for Thanos but whatever.

and none of those issues are resolved
