Watched City defeat Vancouver the other night on my 42". Can't find any streaming options for Sounders vs. Man U and I'm too worn out to bike back over to the pub.
So seems to be solid that Tevez is staying at the club. The FFP rulings will be interesting though.
God he's such a tool though. He's never been even remotely humble or gracious anywhere he's played, and as soon as he feels the slightest desire to move, he bullies the management into letting him. He's talented, sure, but nowhere close to as good to offset his childishness. As much as City needed him last season, I think they could attract someone of equal quality with considerably less drama.
Then again, they did sign Balotelli, so maybe not.
Balotelli is great, but his attitude is a major liability. He's had it under control since that red against Worst Brom, but he's still got too much of an emotional edge to be reliable.
i guess it's not a complete shock after the gold cup, but still a bit of a surprise considering he was just re-signed. i wonder who's replacing him and if a deal is already semi in place? seems a bit weird to wait as long as they have after the gold cup if they haven't been talking to people in the interim.
I hope the first question they ask(ed) the next coach was "would you ever consider calling up Jonathan Bornstein?" and if they said yes they immediately moved on to the next canidate

Fuck. 3 minutes into tonight's game, and I went down with a game ending (possibly season-ending) injury. To be fair, there's only two more games, but fuck does my knee hurt.
Tonight's game was probably going determine the cup finalists, too. Had too pull good players out of position to cover the gap I left defensively, which they did admirably, but we ended up lacking offensive sting. Sat camped in front of their goal for half the second half when we were a goal behind, but couldn't find anyone to finish. They managed a second one on a counter, which was just frustrating to be forced to watch from the sideline.
That was...hmm. Should it have been red? I'm inclined to say yes since the act of holding him back allowed the second defender to catch up, but I'm still kinda new to the whole soccer thing.

Germany vs Brazil at 2:30 on ESPN3.com
U.S.A vs Mexico tonight, 9 PM EST ESPN2/ESPN3.com
Freddy Adu might be going to Chivas USA. LA to still not care!
Agudelo too though possibly not right away
The U.S. arguably should have had two penalties in this game
klinsmann did real good on subs until ricardo clark
Torres did not have a good night but he looked better in the middle than on the wing, Jones was totally invisible.
and I love Michael Bradley but he should not be playing in that advanced role.
