"Her skin was hungry for his touch BECAUSE IT HAD ONLY HAD A SLICE OF TOAST ALL DAY. She gasped as his big, horny hands HEE HEE HEE, OH GOD WHAT AM I, ELEVEN? stroked her cheek and brushed her full, pouting lips. She pushed against him as the pent-up longing of the past week exploded her senses WHATEVER THE HELL THAT MEANS. And then.......

    And then.....

    And then he fucked her.

I am amused by the underlying assumption by the purveyors of bitcoin people that the currency is better because it exists outside the influence of the governmental sphere

one day some currency trader is going to make a fucking mint on the stuff (no pun intended) by manipulating the bitcoin market specifically because there is no governmental regulation.

I would be surprised if there isn't already someone out there at an I-bank dreaming up a scheme right now

DDoS two mid-size exchanges. Start spreading a rumor they've been hacked. Watch price drop like the last time it happened. Buy low. Wait two weeks. Set up a fake Amazon PR announcement that they will be accepting bitcoin due the the sales tax issue. Sell high.

I was thinking this same sort of thing, haha. Even better if you can get an options market going.

Which is a shame because with an options market I could make a profit on the price drop too. And I'm mercenary enough that I view getting paid twice as a good option. Hell with an options market I could get paid three times. Which is always better then getting paid twice.

I don't think an options market would be too difficult to set up, either. So many people are rabid about their dedication to bitcoin that it wouldn't be hard to get someone to take the opposite position.

except the online contraband bazaar. That is awesome that it exists and has not been shut down.

Also that people who run it think its important for free speech or whatever

I thought I could listen to Morgan Freeman talk about anything with his soothing voice. Nope. Not true. The minute he started talking about string theory, I couldn't stand the sound of his voice.

I'm actually very confused on the "proper" spelling of "syke."

Is it "sike," "syke," "psych," "psyche," or "wooster"?

I actually went to Urban Dictionary to check that I didn't accidentally use it to mean "I suck dicks behind Olive Garden" or something.

You never know with kids and their slang these days.

Interesting. So UD lists it as "syke"? Hmm.

Tends not to produce testable claims? I think that's the usual objection.

edit: Quid: best case under current law is that they can go after it as an unregulated security (I may have my terminology wrong). The bigger issue actually is that there's very little to go after in the US.

    I think they're mostly annoyed that it's a scam they can't tax.

I like risk for manipulating other people into doing fighting for me. I don't like it because way too much of it comes down to dice rolls and who gets those massive reinforcement cards first.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
