Poetic, you are so hardcore. I haven't even finished White yet - in fact, I haven't played it since East!
Everyone make sure lots of pictures of the PPL are taken - I'm counting on you!
Yeah...I tend to take these things way too seriously xD it's probably going to get me into a lot of trouble one of these days. And I'll be making sure to bring my own camera this time around, so hopefully I'll have loads of pictures of everyone!
The basic rules are Pokemon with Base stats = 600 are restricted (only one per team) and >600 base stats are banned. Look for a full post being posted shortly!
Wow, this time around for East the thread for the PPL was booming. Too bad there isn't more activity.
This time around you were basically keeping the thread around single-handedly.
And yes, I understand everyone's waiting. We're typing things up and cracking whips at the Aipom on a keyboard in the back room.
(Yeah, N, I said it! What is your sorry excuse for PETA going to do now?!)
Oh psh, I wasn't posting that frequently, was I? Okay, maybe I was on the forums every day.... multiple times a day............ but that's not the point! I agree with Zerzhul - the revealing of the leaders was a great draw-in. Can't wait for that at East! Also, great imagery there with the Aipom.
Can anyone give a better explanation of how the c-gear works and what good it will do me at PAX? I'm not too familiar with what I should be expecting from this

It's basically your pal-pad, so it's essential for registering friends!

I really haven't used it yet and can't wait to try it out!

What level do your pokemon have to be if you want base stats over 600? Or at 600?

it has nothing to do with level, it's based on that particular pokemon's attributes.

However, my Shuckle team will be ready and willing for East! Alongside my new B/W team which will also be themed, as I hinted at in the PPL forums.
Sadfaces! But I'll look forward to seeing you PAX East, or maybe another Boston meetup would be fun! I've been wanting to go back to Quincy Market... Hmmm

We're organizing a meetup for labor day weekend (the weekend after PAX Prime).

Being new to Pokemon battling, does anyone have any advice or tips? What lvls should my team be at? Should I be doing anything special to help my team? Ect?
Level 50 as we'll be using flat battle, which lowers pokemon above 50 down to 50, but does not raise pokemon up.
Other than that, bring what you think will be a good/fun team (within the restrictions of the rules in the OP) a large dollop of patience, and a willingness to have a good time.

I'm pretty sure it raises the Pokemon in B/W, so no levels necessary.

Without getting into EV training, which there are many guides online, some advice:
- Type Coverage: Have a number of different type moves to try and cover all weaknesses and effectiveness. This is one of the most important things you can do when planning your team. You don't need 1 pokemon with 2-3 fire moves, or 4 pokemon with 1 fire move each.
- Hold Items: While item clause is in effect, you need to know where to place your items to help your team the most. Realize there are subsitutions (IE: Leftovers, Black Sludge for poison type, Shell Bell, Sitrus Berry, Big Root for a mon with a draining move are all ways to recover HP) and don't overlook any possibility. (Frigging Quick Claw Torkoal took out my Steel Team.)
- Know The Role: Know what niche you want each pokemon on your team to play. Are they a Physical Sweeper? Special? Mixed? Wall? Wall breaker? Lead? Revenge kill? Support? Stall? Knowing ahead of time what you want your pokemon to do will help you plan their build and adjust their play style.

It's the total? Wow, okay. Thanks for clearing that up.
Yup, just take a look at the total column.
Scope out the metagame for PAX East. Hehehe..
Rainbow, if you are packing your Shuckle team I will form a Stunfisk team to duke it out with you for glory.
Coco~ I'm so excited to see you again!
I will, unfortunately, not be attending Prime ):
