I stopped off at Kinnebunkport this weekend and got a burger

there were a lot of trashy-looking grossly obese white people who called me "sir"

and they were sprinkled with inexplicably beautiful tiny and delicate asian people

    they also called me "sir"

the tiny asian people were like forest creatures. they always had a look on their faces like they were going to turn and bolt, disappearing into the foliage.

What is the correlation between a pencil and a cassette tape?
Back in The Day, your cassettes used to get wound up in the tape players, so once you pulled them out, you had to get the tape back into the cassette. The best way to do this was to take a pencil, press it between the teeth that are normally pulled by the player, and use it to turn the gears to tighten up the tape.

I thought that was what "Rewind" was for

No see the tape would actually exit the cassette so you had to manually rewind it or the tape would break.

Rewind would either tear the tape or, at best, make it more tangled!

When the player eats your tape, you don't want to put it back into the player until you've fixed it.

I thought that Austin theater was taking a hard line against people who whisper loudly

now I know there are people who talk in theaters, and "talk" isn't a euphemism for "whisper a little too loud," but actuallytalk, like one might over coffee or a beer.

words cannot express my degree of confusion over this

Yeah but most of you seem to hate it so much you've actively blocked it from your minds or something.

But if you really remember the "scene" I am talking about, I personally thought that it was an awesome representation of an epic showdown.

I mean it may be intermittent. It's not like they sit there and chat non-stop. But I have witnessed situations where they will like say some new shit totally unrelated to the movie like every 5 to 10 minutes. And I've witnessed groups of like 13-16 year olds that come in groups of 10-20, run around (yes, literally) near the front of the screen (and why the front? Because they come in like 15-20 minutes after the movie started and that's all that's left) and constantly play musical chairs while talking to each other about whatever teens talk about nowadays. Pop tarts and sock hops and whatever.
