Looks narrative driven? Hope there is some PA-esque zaniness (humorous or dark) coming. If this single comic is representative of the series, it is a little dry for my tastes. Seems odd to see 3 hilarious people keeping funny at arm's length.
This review was for all the fans I've neglected. I will now retreat back into the Internet.

Also, I expect this to be exactly why I will never ever take a job testing games.

This was totally unexpected since it feels like forever since the announcement, but I am suddenly crazy excited about this. I'm actually really hoping this is narrative-driven what with the link for "Seasons" and all. I'm just going to take a wild guess from this one comic, but it looks like Scott's doing the characters and Mike's doing the backgrounds, which is a really cool mash-up I think. Also, the site design is slick. I just wanna roll around in it for a while.

Ok. I will read this for a time. Judgement reserved as I feel nothing for it yet.

Yeah... I definitely appreciate folks who try to get in the game industry, but I've never really thought it was for me.
It seems like games only really attract two kinds of people:
1) People who are super passionate people and intelligent. See the folks in the game design thread on here.
2) People who are like, "d00d, I wanna make games!" I knew a few guys like this in college. Oy. It's really bad when they're failing they're CS classes and they're all "how are linked lists relevant to making games!??!?!?!?!?!"
I'm not sure I've ever seen a middle ground. Like, you usually just don't end up in games.
Looking forward to the future of this comic. Might I request a delightful unique favicon at some point in the future so that it doesn't it doesn't sit as a sad white sheet of paper on my bookmark bar?

Best part: I now get a new comic every day during the week, Monday thru Friday. Bonus.
Anyway, I look forward to following The Trenches.

As it please you, m'lord.
It'll be nice to see how this pans out...lovin' a full week of Web comics slathered in maple syrup and topped with bacon bits...
Now, for those left over days...Saturday and Sunday...what to do...
I still remember being introduced to PA back in '99.
BTW, does anyone know if there is a RSS xml link? I tried to put trenchescomic.com into google reader and it didn't work. Thanks.

I took the liberty of decoding the text on that page. It says:
Twitter: busfahrer -- Quake Live: busfahrer -- StarCraft II: busfahrer.184 (EU)
in case anyone was wondering
Just base-64, as someone mentioned above. It's easy to recognise by the characters that appear in it.
It's also the way (for example) a picture gets encoded when you append it to an email
Twitter: busfahrer -- Quake Live: busfahrer -- StarCraft II: busfahrer.184 (EU)
Wow, it's kind of amazing you were able to note that it was a Tesla Roadster and not, say, a Lotus Elise.
I hadn't even considered that it was a real car when I first saw it, just assumed it was a generic Ferrari-like sports car.
Neat-o! For anyone else whose curiosity is piqued, it's this.
They will still fall under the rule of "all discussions in the thread are to remain on-topic regarding the comic and its content" as per usual
I feel like I've seen these descriptions before. Did they announce the characters as a kind of teaser at some point?
This picture from Tesla's website looks like the reference photo.
Why does it say ©2010?

Seriously though, congratulations and this looks good!
probably because the project has been in the works since before last pax and they forgot to update that
And is SE going to keep sticking new comics like we do with PA?
