My musical taste is hilarious.
It's like
1/3 stuff that might get me called a hipster (Neutral Milk Hotel falls under this obviously, and my favourite band ever is the Decemberists)
1/3 fairly-to-completely mainstream stuff
1/3 wizard rock.
Edit: Oh and classical. A lot of classical.

^ music about Harry Potter, usually written from characters' perspectives. My favourite album of all time is actually a wizrock album by the Remus Lupins called "The Rest is Silence". It surpassed The Decemberists' "The Hazards of Love" for that coveted spot.

So I guess voting for a fictional character doesn't count as a vote. And I don't want to contract a case of inactivitis. At the same time, I have a long standing policy of not day one vote switching.
Therefore my vote should be for whomever is most similar to Harry Potter. Any suggestions?

And Christian Caldeira aka Oliver Boyd & the Remembralls is just an insanely talented musician. and singer. and producer, especially, being as how he studied it and does it professionally. (This isn't my favourite song by him but I love the instrumentation. He's admittedly not the strongest lyricist in the wizrock scene but his music is just SO DAMN GOOD.)
actually fuck it one more by him because it's one of the most purely beautiful songs I've ever heard. I love the combination of piano and mandolin. (also if you ignore the video and realise which characters the song's actually about it becomes incredibly tragic despite sounding so upbeat and beautiful.)
