I'm still waiting for my Mass Effect inspired Inquisitor game
Just imagine something like combat with a Mass Effect sort of squad based system, you playing as a customized Inquisitor while your Acolytes fight alongside you
And then actually carrying out an interrogation with heretics with an LA Noire sort of questioning style
God, I would kill for such a game

chaos makes another few black crusades that don't make it to earth because abaddon has other goals
more eldar die
tyranids eat more, make more monstrosities
more necrons wake up
and the imperium loses more ground

Honestly, pushing it forward for the sake of it would be interesting to me
For one thing, I'd like to see what happens when the Emperor finally dies
Does he go and fuck up the Ruinous Powers? Does his soul just kind of wink out, or just kind of kick around? Does he somehow continue to project the Astronomican? How will the Imperium deal with whatever happens?
That'd be some cool stuff to touch on, at least

Perhaps keeping him alive is what's fucking the imperium

Run with the failure of the golden throne. Emperor reincarnates, takes off on a second Great Crusade to clean house because the Imperium is no longer anything near what he wanted it to be. Obliterates the Adeptus Mechanicus and folds tech into the Imperium completely. Destroys Mars and sends the Void Dragon running.
Necrons partially shrink the Eye of Terror, scouring Cadia while doing so. This pits Necrons and Chaos directly against each other, and to make up for lost ground, Chaos makes huge gains into the Eldar webway, with assistance from the Dark Eldar.
Orks are Orks.
Tau space gets hit with the remnants of all hive fleets that were turned back by the Imperium.
the thing is taking it forward re: the emperor is kind of an endgame thing for any side
either A. he dies all the way and humanity is fucked forever
or B. he reincarnates, either as the Star Child thing or bodily, and everyone else is fucked forever
Space marine meets Operation Flashpoint - "sum Git is left dis deffcopta unguarded. And by unguarded I meanz it turnz out that an axe to da face startz da zogga pretty zogging quick. Shud take out da base dat the Boss woz talking about, but perhaps he ment take da copta and find a bigga tank to get da job dun right? Sounds gud ta me, what about you Axeface?"

All he wants to do is understand Tzeentch and his plans, he doesn't even like chaos.
He's been doing that for what? 7000 years? I guess he should be able to get in if two random inquisitors did.
Small Gods is the best
Now lets find what of...
That doesn't matter, if he's guilty he's a heretic, if he's a heretic, he dies.

on Nickelodeon
following an Inquisitor and his retinue chasing down a chaos sorcerer on an Imperial world at war with Orkz
I think it could be great
"There is no such thing as innocent in my court. Innocence is guilty of wasting my time."
It's really useful in policing a population in the trillions.
and that concept is so cool
Spend massive resources to make a planet habitable.
