Great comic. I don't know where else to mention this so I'll put it here too; I like the new front page.

Yeah, I'm pretty terrified about my children using the internet.

That's why I'm just not going to have any.

e: Uh, wow. Guess I should read the last post before making my own. Bravo Dru and Stale.

I think I am the only person who doesn't like the last panel. I just think all the cartoon art that's happened since Kricfalusi in that style ends up overdone. Like, every kid's cartoon ever uses that stuff.

What is this I don't even.

Someday I'd like to have kids. They will probably not be allowed to touch the internet for a very long time. I'll eventually let it happen though and hope they have the same kind of experiences with it I did. Without some place like this where you have so many different, cool people I have to think my worldview would be substantially more narrow and ignorant than it is now.

Yeah, restricting their access to other points of view will certainly lead to them being open minded. I'm sure of it.

If for some god forsaken reason I ever have children, by some dark magic and forbidden art, I will raise them as I was.

as soon as they can hold their own head up, they will watch the most depraved porn and violent movies I can find.

    Their playground will be usenet.

Peter North will be their grandpa.

So what you're saying is it's totally a good idea to let a 4 year old use the internet? Sorry, not buying it. I'm thinking 8 or 10 would probably be OK.

Great comic. I started using the internet in 6th grade, it was 1996. I didn't have any bad experiences, and looked at lots of porn that took like 3 minutes to load each picture on a 33.6K modem.

That's what I'm talking about though. I should have been more specific. I mean usage without direct parental supervision, although with some parental controls set up.

Not digging this comic. Typically the visual gag is a bonus along with the punchline, since it's the entire punchline and I wasn't really feeling it the comic sort of fell flat. Unfortunate.

So many anti-vaccine nuts in my area. I've had them approach my at my kid's daycare, at birthday parties, and even at an open house at the school. When they learn that I'm a chemist they get this weird look on their face. I have to calmly tell them I'm not pushing autism juice on their children with my magic mercury serums via syringe, that I work with minerals and do elemental analysis. I'm one of the good ones.

Then when they're not looking I vaccinate children.

I'm just gonna raise my kids on raw meat and root vegetables and once they lose their first tooth they will be forced to sleep outside.

I'll convince them that this is normal behavior until they're in high school so they'll appreciate our modern technological lifestyle.

I don't see the problem with putting your kid on a leash. My mom tied a rope around my waist because I was a stupid kid like all other stupid kids. There's not always a buggy to stick them in, and it only takes a second of distraction for the kid to run away or follow another skirt. I think it's pretty cruel to look down on people who want extra insurance to protect their kid.

Or you could not treat your kids like a pet, and watch them closely like a responsible adult! This isn't a dig against you or your parents btw. It's just my personal perspective on the matter.
