@BigRed: Whats the rules on coolers? I'm assuming ice chests are permitted, but we should use frozen gel packs instead of ice? Looking for a way to keep my Bawls nice and cold.

Rule is the same as last year. Small* personal coolers (with no ice, use the gel) will be allowed.

*If it has wheels and/or more than 1 handle then it wont be allowed in.

You forgot the most important rule to this. BigRed gets at least one bottle of Bawls ;-)

I may do that, thanks for the info people.

I am cool enough to keep my own Bawls Chilled to a nice Cobalt Blue color. ;) I only keep a couple, have to have room for my Mt. Dew. Oh and BigRed can have my Bawls, but touch my MT. Dew and its on. lol

    Here's hoping Eve doesn't release a patch the day-of... >.<

You mean like how Valve dropped a patch of all Source games the day before PAX East started? Yeaaaaahhh that was not cool...

I think the minimum bottles of Bawls that BigRed gets needs to be increased by a non-insignificant amount XD.

So I've managed to get a BYOC pass, but the other 3 in my group haven't. What's the last day that I can get a refund on it? We're trying to watch the site and pick up any others that people refund but this is obviously easier said than done.
If it comes down to it and I'm the only one with a BYOC pass I'd like to refund it since it won't be that fun on my own :/

Reg is going to be locked this friday (8/19). File for refund before then.

SHiZZAM, I think a Rock Lobstah is looking for a pass, is it cool with the PAX people and Big Red to sell it to him or is that a big NO NO?

Passes are non transferable, have been for a few years now.

He will have to get a refund and hope its processed in time before reg is locked to pick it up again from the pool.

So it gets refunded and you open the refunded passes for resale to others? If so, that's cool.. maybe with any luck our friend can get it.

Correct, its the most fair for everyone while not allowing ticket transfers to keep scalpers away.

Not sure what you mean. I'm looking for a BYOC ticket and a 3 day pass. Do you know if people offer any BYOC tickets in the "People with PAX Passes for Face Value ONLY" ? I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm not sure where I should post it.

No. BYOC passes cannot be transferred. They can be refunded, then the pass will be available for sale on the BYOC registration page.

Is it PAX <insert nearest future PAX here> yet?

Watch it like a hawk with lots of F5 pressing :P If tickets are refunded they get put back into the pool of passes available for everyone.

Same here. Don't forget to print them out and bring them with you guys. It can really slow things down otherwise and checkin takes long enough as it is.

Should be able to pick up your BYOC badge on Thursday at reg... I will confirm this though.

BYOC lineup usually starts at 7am-ish. Depends how many people show up that early.

Have we heard anything about picking up the badges on Thursday yet BigRed?

    oops, forgot to post

Yeah you will be able to pick up your BYOC badge at willcall on Thursday. On Friday you will have to pick it up by the BYOC room itself.

Awesome. Do we need the BYOC badge to get in and go up in line, or can we head up and get our badge before checkin? I.E. if we don't pick up on Thursday do we have to wait until PAX itself opens before we head upstairs?

In previous years, I've found that lugging a huge desktop & monitor is usually all the pass you need to wait in the BYOC line.

the ones on the list that are registered but not paid do not have spots at all. They aren't included in the overall count for it being sold out.

BYOC Badges will only be available to pickup at reg on thursday.

Friday morning @ 7am-ish is when the BYOC lineup starts.

If you didnt get your badge on Thursday just tell the security guards you are there for the BYOC room and they should let you up. If you also didnt get your badge on thursday you will have to get it in front of PC room on Friday.

Correct, unpaid doesn't mean anything. It just means the event sold out before they paid. Theres only 350 spots available to whoever pays first.
Or in the case of my unpaid spot, I was testing out reg before it went live to make sure it all went through :P

So, the only real way of getting a spot is if whoever has already paid for their ticket refunds it? This is gonna be tough >_<

    ...correct

Once someone refunds a ticket it will go back into the general pool.
Considering BYOC reg is going to get locked down soon you don't have much chance at getting one at this point.

Check the forums often and follow the Official_PAX and Prime_BYOC twitter accounts to be alerted when tickets go on sale for next PAX.

Yeah there will be enforcers up there directing where to go. There will likely be two lines this year, one for people with group seating (PLEASE Make sure your entire group is aware they are in the group... I will have a list and be checking it thrice) and one for people with smaller groups or people on their own.
