Graphics Tablets

I've been learning to draw for a little while now and I've been considering buying a graphics tablet. The thing is I'd like a relatively cheap one, being that I am new and still learning at drawing with just pencil and paper. And while I've heard that anything that isn't made by Wacom is useless, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a cheaper brand that is pretty reliable. I was looking at the Genius G-Pen 4500 and the DigiPro WP5540 for example.

Of those, I would I guess say the Genius G-Pen after taking a quick look at the reviews.

But honestly, I really think just going the extra 40 bucks and getting the Wacom Bamboo would make you happier in the long run:

Yes.. go wacom. They dominate the market for good reason.

Oh, sorry, I'll try to stick to the appropriate thread. Anyway, thanks for the advice, I'll try to overcome my miserly inclinations and go for the Wacom.
