    Suggestions for stage magicians:

Zatanna (maybe), Yorick Brown, Barney Stinson, Mad Sweeney, Professor Woland (maybe)

Superheroes are discouraged, as is the Prince of Darkness, so there are some maybes there

yorick brown was more of a street magician, otherwise I would've suggested him too

Eh, escapeology is a pretty stage magician thing

I mean yeah, a lot of his other stuff was just palming and such

But for a magician, not a bad choice

Hmmm, could I be Crowley from Supernatural?

  • StraightziStraightzi Here we may reign secure, and in my choice, To reign is worth ambition though in HellRegistered User regular
    Possibly?

I'm not super familiar with Supernatural beyond the first two seasons.

Power level is supposed to be around street/pulp level, and I believe he's a pretty major demon, so he might be too powerful.

Crowley from Good Omens, on the other hand...

  • AntimatterAntimatter Devo Was Right Gates of SteelRegistered User regular
    yes yes yes

  • GatsbyGatsby Registered User regular
I am completely okay with this.

Alright then, what does Crowley have?

    Shapeshifting?
    A car?
    Assorted skills?

It's been a while since I read it.

the ability to turn any cassette into a copy of Queen's Greatest Hits when it's left in a car over a fortnight

  • StraightziStraightzi Here we may reign secure, and in my choice, To reign is worth ambition though in HellRegistered User regular
I believe that was a property of the car, more than anything.

the ideas I've had so far

    Micheal Weston

    Shadow

    John Crichton

    Detective Riggs

    Ash

  • StraightziStraightzi Here we may reign secure, and in my choice, To reign is worth ambition though in HellRegistered User regular
    Immortality, obviously.

I can't think of anything else outright stated.

I would advise against Shadow, for a variety of reasons. I was under the impression that John Crichton was a few centuries from now, but he's still viable, although it would more than likely be him prior to the events of the show. Detective Riggs, while technically acceptable, is probably a bad idea.

Westin and Ash are both pretty decent characters, although Ash might be a bit too... less than serious for the tone.

I want to play Vince Faraday from The Cape.

I tried it in 4e with an assassin, but it's not quite there.

But capes are very ill advised

I legitimately would not have a problem with an all Nic Cage party

I might recommend more along the lines of say, 8mm or Matchstick Men

But sure, all Cage, all the time

Every team we face should just happen to be a collection of other roles played by the same actor.

At the end of the game, we go up against the final enemy, the puppet masters that have been secretly controlling all the other rival groups, The Freemen.

I'd be pretty okay with either Crowley or Aziraphale.

Also tempted to see if I could work Jack Reacher as a character, from that crime series by Lee Child.

...and now I'm just thinking of a collectible card game where each player's hand has to be built around an actor, and all of the monster/summon cards are the roles they've had.
