I don't know how he ends up getting released.

Could use the old "I ended up finding God" and turn him into a religious cult leader.

But then it's just a goblin cult?

Fuck. Has that idea really never been done before? That's brilliant.

Isn't there a gang/cult that idolizes Osborn running around?

Bendis said they would tie-into HAMMER War

I don't know if that's sarcasm, because there is a Goblin Cult.

It was not, because that is actually a cool deal but I figured it has likely already been done before.

And it has! but man, it would really tie in to that goblin breakdown at the end of Siege, as Norman seems to be becoming more and more separate a person from the Goblin inside him over the years.

So apparently it wasn't Fraction's call to kill Bucky. Brubaker was going to kill him at the end of Gulag, but when Fraction was pitching Fear Itself and got to the Blitzkrieg USA part Brubaker piped up by saying Red Skull should kill him then. He was apparently half-serious but Fraction's enthusiasm won him over.

man, I just don't see why they had to kill him at all

like I said, have Sin break his legs or something, take him out for a few months. Killing him just seems like... well, overkill.

IDK but they had been forshadowing his death like the whole time he was captain america.

What happened with the trial/gulag anyway?

Did Bucky escape/get cleared? His death in FI felt really random; it was only relevant to the book after it happened in that it forced Steve to get real. But there was no real glory for him at all. He just sort of stepped in and got downed.

The future Avengers said something about how he got what he deserved, has this been addressed?

Brubaker has made it clear that Bucky was going to die one way or another, and that it is very important to something coming down the pipe. I bet we find out what after this flashback arc of Cap and Bucky is over.

OK. I like the art, but those are some rude titties on (I'm assuming) Sin.

I dont think it's possible for Frank Cho to draw a lady without rude titties

    Things Frank Cho draws:

    Rude Titties
    Juicy Butts
The stuff around the rude titties an juicy butts
    Chimps

Isn't Valkyrie holding one of the Worthy's hammers?

  • BlankZoeBlankZoe Registered User regular
    Yes she is.

The Fearless is going to follow the search for the Worthy's hammers now that their owners are back to normal.

I'm predicting either they go away at the end of the series or a handful of characters suddenly jump to Thor-levels of power.

do we know anything about when The Mighty thing is going to happen?

  • BlankZoeBlankZoe Registered User regular
Probably Fear Itself 6 and then 7 since there are only 2 issues left

    CYpGAPn.png
  • SolarSolar Registered User regular
    Dinosaurs too then

Though there are rude titties in that as well

  • BlankZoeBlankZoe Registered User regular
Cho's upcoming Image title is going to be so good

    Guns and Dinos

described as "what if the people on Jurassic Park were never rescued and thus had to survive on the island"

  • SolarSolar Registered User regular
I bet the answer is "violence/titties"

  • BalefuegoBalefuego Registered User regular

Please let it be the Thor level one. Please.

And Cho likes drawing guns too. Nothing quite like guns and rude titties.

Edit: See! Guns and Dinos, it's right there!

Indeed. Like Agent Brand said in SWORD #5, Earth only has like a dozen Thor-level heroes.

P.S. fuck everyone who didn't buy SWORD.

    Fraction wrote:
Exactly! Fear Itself is kind of all I have to say about the illusion of death in comics. It’s my Houdini theory: that nobody went to see Houdini because they wanted to see Houdini die. People went to see Houdini because they wanted to see Houdini almost die. But they wanted to see him get out of it; they wanted to see the escape. Comics are escape fiction -- not escapist fiction, but escape fiction. We want to see how our ideal selves get out of messes that we find ourselves in, literally or metaphorically. It’s never about the death. The death is never real in comics. It’s always about the return, the escape. That’s why we read them. And that it’s been turned into a marketing ploy is a gag! Houdini always has the key under his tongue. That’s the joke.
