Season Two has begun, with a guest-starring John de Lancie as Discord. He's more or less an Equestrian Q.

Current status:
Season 2 episodes premiere Saturday mornings on The Hub at 9 AM Eastern, 6 Pacific. The Hub only has one feed, no East and West ones, so the same episode premieres for everyone at the same time. Use their channel locator to see if you get it. If you do, remember to wake up early and/or DVR it.

Ground rules from previous threads still apply. No questionable fanart and no character shipping. We run on a stricter standard than the rest of SE++, so merely being technically worksafe may be insufficient. Also, no links to full episodes aside from official sources (HubWorld.com, iTunes).

TV Schedule, all times Pacific:

Season 2 episodes (same episode repeated each week)
  • Sat: 7 AM, 7:30 AM
  • Sun: 5 AM, 5:30 AM
  • Mon: 5 AM, 10:30 AM, 3 PM

Season 1 reruns (assortment of different episodes)
  • Tue: 5 AM, 10:30 AM, 3 PM
  • Wed: 5 AM, 10:30 AM, 3 PM
  • Thu: 5 AM, 10:30 AM, 3 PM
  • Fri: 5 AM, 10:30 AM, 3 PM

    Hey guys I totally have a friend who is also an actor and he just was filmed inside the next episode of MLP (he's only in there for like 5 seconds) and he worked 15 hours straight and woke up super early, how much would you guys be willing to pay him for info on what happens later on, oh and also he said that next episode Luna comes back and saves EVERYTHING!!

    also i am a fan of this show as in a fan of animation as i like bugs bunny and some anime, i hate it when the bad apples are killing the fun for the rest of us :(

    It's awesome. It's weird though that they're back on a more Magical Girl approach (with a real villain of all things. And it's M-F-ing equestria Q!!!).

    Yeah, I kind of figured that with Equestrian Q, things can't go too wrong. Just glad to see the quality of the show is being maintained.

    Needs more Rarity? I think Rarity is probably my least favorite pony. I agree with you on the rest, though!

    What's so Magical Girl about the first S2 episode? Seems a fairly standard "there's a villain, go on an adventure" format that Western cartoons have used for decades. Or are heroines not allowed to be heroic without being linked with Sailor Moon?

    Something I noticed from part 1:
    In Applejack's flash forward, Twilight Sparkle has her horn, but Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are missing their horn and wings. If this was an accurate vision of the future, that means Discord must remove all the ponies' enhancements again but leave Twilight Sparkle's horn for some reason. Significant? Or just an animation error?

    I have had chocolate coated potato chips, and yeah, they were pretty good.

    Salty things + chocolate is actually a decent combo.

    I really hope the show writers don't try to hard to appease the internet. That's a recipe for disaster and it would ruin the very atmosphere most people watch 'Friendship Is Magic' for. Maybe a fan favorite voice actor here or there (c'mon, Patrick Warburton or H Jon Benjamin pony!) or maybe a sly non-intrusive reference here or there, but they would be wise to not let it dominate any part of the show.
