Sieg, are you just talking about the wrangler? I draw myself in a hood lately, and the wrangler (who is unashamedly self referential) is in a hood and has taken up the last few pages as I develop her. I donno, I can post something without a hood.
The birds are just personal work, Im sorry you dont like them, but if you could be even an ounce more specific that would be helpful.

I wasn't being negative at all, I love them! Haha.
And the hoods thing was just an observation, it's cool.
Oh sorry, I read the "not" in the wrong part of that sentence (dyslexia go!), I was all sad there, Im glad you like them!
Yeah the birds are sort of a series but more just an outlet. If I had a studio I would paint them, but unfortunately I have no space to. Trying to develop more of a library of symbols for them but they mean a lot to me.
Bevo, thanks! I want to do some more plants and creatures, maybe some texture studies I don't know.
Thanks for your compliments! I went way overboard on the retina burning on this one. I'd apologize but I really have little regard for other peoples retinas in general. With and without the BG, because I like it on both.
The last I heard, projected times were for spring next year. But I haven't been updated recently. If he gets it done and tells me, I will excitedly post as I will be having the best day ever, as it will be the third tattoo based on my work.
man how sweet would it be if there were entire species of birds only visible in infrared
that would explain so much
I can't decide which version i prefer; the white bg forces center focus a lot more for me. I actually have a hard time drawing my eyes away from the face/beak to the eggthing since it's so close to the white in value.
The egg hatching a sliced tomato (or whatever that is) is much more of a focal element in the gray bg, but the outlines of the wings are distinct enough to draw my eye away from the more interesting bits. Since you're breaking that strong vertical line on the right I sort of have to look at it.
I am not typically one for figurines, but for some reason the weird tubby black-horned one-eyed dogthing in the first image is something I want sitting at my desk.
Your compliments are delicious and I thank you all for them. I hope to color the three dogs page like the egg bird. The dog that fug wants to be a toy is in the same universe as my wrangler lady at the top of the page. I want to study the character designs from zelda and give her face another pass and try to make a pack of villagers too.

Iruka you are incredible
This would make an amazing finished print. If you end up doing more with it, I'd love to buy one!
How big is that?
