    The way I think of it is that Walt is the primary antagonist for the entire series. Everything he does is to help himself and hurt someone else.

    That's hard to justify, especially now of all times. He's basically in the mess he's in for all of Season 4 only because of his selfless rescue near the end of Season 3.

    I just need to intersperse it with something less depressing

    at first there were moments of levity, with Walt being so excited about the 5000 ml Boiling Flask

    but not anymore
