Even if it sucks, the original series is just pretty much perfection
I wasn't even really that bitter about it only having three seasons, because honestly it only probably had the ratings for one, and not only did it never get old, they had plenty of time to plant in-jokes and bring them back at a later time
I'd rather them take a stab at making a worthy successor because it's not like they'll fuck up what they've already made

Yeah I did. The first three seasons of Family Guy were really well done, then it came back and was crap.
Arrested Development itself is miles and miles ahead of Family Guy in terms of quality, but the point is that you can't expect the same level of quality after a five year hiatus, even with the same crew. Sometimes the magic is lost.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
