Darmak is helping us get started. He's been a huge help so far, here he is giving us robes. We decided our color will be brown, and we can die our cape and hat to whichever color we want so we can distinguish from eachother.
I had no idea there was a bank there. We're getting our party organised and helping Kinesis dye his clothes.
We made it inside Despise and are fighting Rat Archers. It's somewhat crowded. I calm the rats with Peacemaking and allow everybody else to attack to raise their skills. All money goes towards the guild.
Now it's far too crowded. Farva joins us to train is dragons.
Skills are going nicely. We have over 22k towards the guild. 12k of that goes towards the Guild Stone, the rest is for saving for a house.

Oh man, that was a blast. Despite a lot of people having no idea what was going on, we managed to get together and still get some dungeon crawling done. We met a lot of people and although some were strange (the kill and ressurect you kind), we did meet a number of nice people as the day dragged on. One gave me a full chain suit of Valorite(!), the most expensive metal type in the game.
Hope I don't let this suck all my time away, I have things I need to do.
Yeah, I just need a small infusion of money to buy shovels to get ore to raise tinkering so that I can become self sufficient. After that, I can make tools for everyone.
The 43k house is the smallest house? How much are villa's or smith shops? If we get everyone on tonight and go hunting, we could make a good amount of money.

Ok I apologize for being MIA last night, I should be around for stuff this weekend. Next time i'm on UOM i'll try to meet up with you guys. I think I'm used to log in and macro your character for a few days before you do anything!
Taco Bell does win the franchise war according to the tome of knowledge that is Demolition Man. However, I've watched Demolition Man more then a few times and never once did I see WoW. In conclusion Taco Bell has more lasting power then WoW.
Oh well, I didn't need to finish that paper anyway.
I'm gonna start rolling up something that doesn't require a lot of money to run before I roll out the money hungering mage. Just a few questions, as its been years since I played UO:
Where are the sheep in Britain? My healing skill demands more wool.
Whats this spell weaving skill I see?
Elves? You're kidding me, right? We should kill Richard Garriot and hook him up to a generator, thereby solving our energy crisis for the foreseeable future.

Sheep... not sure. Maybe check the farms near the Brit moongate?
Spellweaving was a skill added in Modains Legacy expansion (I think). I believe people with it can cast ritual spells or some such.
And don't blame Garriot for the elves. They were added during the above expansion. I don't think you can pick them. Not sure though.
Now for my question! I plan to make a nox-archer. My skills will be this:
My question is, what the hell should I start with? I have 3 skills that will be hard to raise (Poisoning, hiding, resist). So I don't know what to start with.

I wasn't trying to blame him, just the whole spinning in his grave thing.
From that set I'd go with poisoning and resist, they're the hardest to raise, if I recall.
Hiding is easy to raise, I think especially in non-combat zones as well like where our Guild House will be. Resist is definitely the hardest. Have a mage cast Vamp Mana on you for a couple nights....
I think with poisoning you can GM on the same apple, could be wrong. So really start with whats avail...

Oh! I see what you did there! Clever.
I think I may just do 50 Archery, 49 Tactics, 1 healing, kill shit and buy all the skills up to 30.
One more question, does AI allow sea-sawing of stats? I may save up and sea-saw them if I can.

Some how I managed to never try UO. Provided I can get this running in Linux (I understand it's quite easy) I'll be in on this too. Can anyone suggest a good noobie guide? Are there any specific build types the guild will need?

Forest
Jungle
Desert
Arctic Island
I vote for forest simply because while cool (and hot), the desert and arctic island have no trees to gather.
Quite right. 10 people on at this moment.

Use Razor.
And party chat can be heard anywhere, but you can only ear who its coming from if you are on the same level (upstairs downstairs etc).
'Coldbird'.
I was playing with PA last time we did this.

So in.
We set up our tents outside Despise.

EDIT: I won't let that get bottomed!

The community is nice, but the PKs are a bit odd.
Overall today was nothing but gains though.
The guild account as of 6/22/07:
Prevous balance: 9,981
Earnings: 12, 735
Expenses: 12,000 (guild stone, not yet purchased)
Total balance: 10,716
Houses are 43k.

It's at 62 already. Tomarrow I intend to work it up as I read a few chapters of my book, then move to arms lore.
I'm dying to smith again. But it's good to have more than one.
Warframe: TheBaconDwarf
Still need a smith?
I'm a total UO noob so maybe I shouldn't do that...
edit:
Also, there's nobody in the #pauo channel on Slashnet. Wrong channel?
edit2: nevermind, I'm a dumbass. Wrong IRC server.
