So, for those who have tested transmog on PTR (assuming it's on there), is it limited so that you can only transmog plate into plate or leather into leather? What about weapons? Mace-to-mace only or can you do mace to sword, for example.

They said in the FAQ it was plate-plate and mace-mace, except for ranged weapons, you can make a bow look like a gun.

Does it eat the item. Ie if i transmog a to look like B. is B gone forever?

The interface is a little confusing at first. You right click on the guy and it opens up something that looks like your character sheet with all of your armor greyed out. You then Drag the armor you want the looks of into it's slot to cover your existing item. It cost me 26 gold to Transmog my 384 shoulders to look like Tier 12 shoulders, and I think 12 or 16 gold to transmog my 359 helm into tier 5 helm.
I may be way off on the prices, but I remember it being trivial. It also gives you a nice pink tag on your items saying something to the effect of "THIS HAS BEEN TRANSMOGGED TO LOOK LIKE SOMETHING ELSE"

We like to tie a Hunter’s Tier armour in with an appropriate donor creature – it suggests the Hunter has actually hunted for the set! As there’s an awful lot of dragons in this patch, a draconic theme was the way to go. We wanted to reference but not simply reproduce the classic Dragonstalker set. To that end, we limited the use of dragon heads to the helm and chained leathery wings around the shoulders which gives the impression of a skeletal dragon crouching over the Hunter’s upper body.
Helm & Shoulders are Dragonstalker, the rest is Giantstalker :P
A few datamined changes from the newest PTR build are up on MMOChamp, but most notably is probably this one:
Item - Warrior T13 Arms and Fury 4P Bonus (Colossus Smash) now has a 6% chance to proc from Bloodthirst and 13% from Mortal Strike. No longer procs from Raging Blow.
I approve. That's a much better 4p bonus than it was originally.
EDIT: Also, a few older changes:
Feral, 4P -- Frenzied Regeneration also affects all raid and party members. This effect cannot be triggered if you have been in Bear Form for less than 15 sec. In addition, using Tiger's Fury will cause your next Ravage to cost no energy, not require stealth, and have no positioning requirement for 10 sec.
Hunter 4p lasts 15 seconds, up from 10
Mage 2p includes Frostfire bolt. 4p bonus reduces Combustion cooldown by 3 seconds, down from 4. Rest are unchanged.
Priest Healer 4p, duration of Holy Word abilities upped to 33%.
Prot Warrior 2p, absorb shield now only applies to damage done to primary target.
So, it looks like after next week my raid's planning on saving the lock for next week unless we can clear 6/7 heroic in a reasonable amount of time on the first day, so we have a lot of learning time on rag. hoo boy.
I was checking the AH on my alt server, which happened to be Moon Guard. The level 40 something thong armor is being sold in the quadrople didget price range.
Before following any advice, opinions, or thoughts I may have expressed in the above post, be warned: I found Keven Costners "Waterworld" to be a very entertaining film.

How long have you been downing 6/7 HC and how far are you getting on Heroic Ragnaros?
If you aren't consistently getting to phase 4, then extending the lockout is a bad idea.
And, well, if you can't clear 6/7 in a reasonable amount of time (we do it in 2 hours pretty much), then you probably shouldn't get too worked up about Hrag yet.

When using Raid Finder for the Dragon Soul raid instance, players whose currently assigned class role (Tank, Healer, or Damage) matches the class role that a piece of armor or a weapon is flagged for will receive +100 to their Need roll. For purposes of this check, your currently assigned role is defined as the class role you have assigned when a boss is defeated. Sound confusing? I hope not, but here's how it'll work:
A boss dies and drops EPIC TANKING ITEM.
* A mage in the group yawns and clicks the "Greed" button, getting a 98.
* A Fury warrior in the group wants to take up tanking, so he rolls "Need" and gets a solid 64.
* Both tanks want the item. Tank 1 rolls a 12, and Tank 2 rolls a 7.
So what happens?
Because the mage rolled greed, she's right out from the start. The Fury warrior's Need roll was higher than the tanks', but he was in the Damage Dealer role when the boss died, and the item is flagged for tanking, so his 64 is still just a 64 out of a possible 100. In contrast, Tank 1 and Tank 2 each get a 100 point bonus to their rolls because they were in the Tanking role when the boss died and they’re rolling on an item that has been flagged for the tanking role. That means that Tank 1 rolled a 112 out of 200, and tank 2 rolled a 107 out of 200. Tank 1 wins the item! If a roll got a bonus, that bonus will be clearly displayed in the chat log.
Please keep in mind that, at least for now, this system will only look at class role, and not player spec. This bonus isn't only for tanking items either – it applies to Tanking, Damage Dealing, and Healing items, and some items are flagged for more than one class role too. Starting out, only Dragon Soul raid items will be flagged for class roles in this way (though all of the items in the raid will be flagged for one or more roles). As you might expect, all the normal Need Before Greed rules are still in place, so that means that these roll bonuses won't overrule normal class and usability restrictions. Item tooltips in the raid won't reflect which class roles will get rolling bonuses, but it should be fairly obvious based on stat allocations and item type.
We are considering expanding this system to apply to the new 4.3 dungeons as well, though it is unlikely that we'll see the system apply to older dungeons or raids for now. Also, please keep in mind that this system is newly minted, and it may see further changes before it's released with the Raid Finder in patch 4.3.
Man, think of all the tanks who lost that shield in HoR back in WotLK to dps specs, and the grief they never needed to go through if Blizzard had only thought of such a simple solution back then.

Shield nothing. You don't want to know how many times I ran HFoS to get the tanking boots.
I literally had one run where the boots dropped and I had to roll against the Healer (paladin) and two DPS.

So Alizabal's dialog may be the best thing ever:
Alizabal
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_AGGRO_01 - I hate adventurers!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_DEATH_01 - I hate... every.. one of you!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_INTRO_01 - How I hate this place. My captors may be long dead.. but don't think I won't take it out on you, miserable treasure hunters!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_RESET_01 - I hate incompetent raiders.
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SLAY_01 - I still hate you.
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SLAY_02 - Do you hate me?
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SLAY_03 - Good!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SLAY_04 - I hate mercy.
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SPELL_01 - I hate armor!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SPELL_02 - I hate martyrs!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SPELL_03 - Feel my hatred!
VO_BH_ALIZABAL_SPELL_04 - My hatred burns!

Also apparently one of Wrathion's dialogs mentions that part of the legendary dagger questline involves Deadwind Pass. Karazhan Crypts finally open ftw?
Interesting set up. I just hope it doesn't screw bear tanks, especially on trinkets.
Why would it screw them? Bears will be treated as tanks if that's the role they're performing in the raid.
The problem is that Bears would be competing with Hunters, Cat druids (and possibly Boomkins depending on how they code it), and Rogues for various pieces of gear, since they don't really have any really "tank oriented" Polearms and leather (and they tend to favor agi trinkets too so...). DKs have a similar issue when it comes to weapons.
So the argument is that bear tanks aren't going to get the same "priority" that the plate tanks are getting.

So what happens to Nìghtmare now?
Existing names are grandfathered in. They get to keep them. No new names with special characters can be made.

No kidding... it's a pain in the ass to type those names too.
