The problem is, I'd already booked flights to spain but I have to change them because I have a conference. My conference is on the 7th in Barcelona, my flights are to Bilbao. Changing the flight departure point is, like, 300E and is inconvenient time-wise in any case, so easier just to book a new flight. But the times are really important BECAUSE - my sister is turning up in germany on the morning of the 7th. I've organised for her to stay with a friend, but I would still like to be back in germany by early on the 8th if possible (ok ideally evening of the 7th). But my town doesn't have an airport, meaning I need to juggle train times as well.
All I need is a flight that leaves after 5pm on the 7th and arrives at an airport reasonably near my destination before 10pm, OR leaves after 7am and arrives before, oh, 1pm or so.
at the moment I cannot find any option that won't leave me spending a night in an airport somewhere (which is irksome because I have a perfectly comfortable hotel already booked in Barcelona), or taking 7 hours and getting me back in the evening on the 8th. It really should not be this tricky.

The problem is, I'd already booked flights to spain but I have to change them because I have a conference. My conference is on the 7th in Barcelona, my flights are to Bilbao. Changing the flight departure point is, like, 300E and is inconvenient time-wise in any case, so easier just to book a new flight. But the times are really important BECAUSE - my sister is turning up in germany on the morning of the 7th. I've organised for her to stay with a friend, but I would still like to be back in germany by early on the 8th if possible (ok ideally evening of the 7th). But my town doesn't have an airport, meaning I need to juggle train times as well.
All I need is a flight that leaves after 5pm on the 7th and arrives at an airport reasonably near my destination before 10pm, OR leaves after 7am and arrives before, oh, 1pm or so.
at the moment I cannot find any option that won't leave me spending a night in an airport somewhere (which is irksome because I have a perfectly comfortable hotel already booked in Barcelona), or taking 7 hours and getting me back in the evening on the 8th. It really should not be this tricky.
