FFXIII is very pretty. I should try to pick it up again, if I'm not too lost.
I hate it when that happens. You put a game down and can't pick it up again, needing to start over. I'm at the Odin fight. Need to look up how to beat him I think.
I went on vacation last year and came back to find my copy sitting on top of my PS3, my roommate had left a post-it note saying "I beat this in 3 days, lol"
So XIII-2 has nothing to do with the plot of XIII, it just uses the same characters?
I was enjoying the story of XIII, even if the gameplay was atrocious, up until the point I had to kill a giant turtle thing to advance the story. It walked in place and three shotted my entire team. The boss right before it was easier. Apparently that was actually right near the end of the game, but oh well.
I honestly cannot wrap my mind around why Uncharted 2 is as well-liked as it is. I mean, it has some really cool qualities, but it has its share of really obvious flaws too.
It's not an awful game, but its a far cry from the best game ever.
I can only think of two flaws with.
The first is that the story Isn't as good as the first, which isn't technically a flaw. But comparing the two is an obvious thing to do.
The second is
big ol blue which is similar to the Nazi dog zombies which I didn't feel was as fun.
The boss fights in shooter games are never that good. They are either giant or bullet sponges. So the boss fights are eh, butni don't really see it as a flaw.
The characterization, dialogue, gameplay and set design were all amazing. They put so much colour in traditionally single toned areas.

Man, you're like the opposite of me. I thought the gameplay was fun enough but the story was crap.
I'll play XIII-2 because I already turn my brain off for JRPG stories anyway. If the gameplay is improved then I'll probably enjoy it.
I couldn't put up with the first four or five hours, walking through a hallway.
No, this is some sort of weird lie people have been spreading. I don't know how you play that game for 40 hours without liking it then suddenly go "oh this is the part where it gets good."
Either you like it a few hours in or you don't. If you play a game you hate for 40 hours then you need to see a doctor about your brain being missing.
this is still an atrocious amount of time and I make no apologies about what a horrible fucking idea it was to put a game out like that, but it gets really good at that point

Type 0 on the other hand looks like something I'd play. I don't have a PSP anymore, though. Also, I don't even know if it is coming out in the states.
and it gets good about 15 hours in

See this, this is just, ugh
It wasn't the long ass corridor type enviroments (until you get to the more open areas) because FFX was chock-full of that shit and I loved that game.
It was lacking something and I'd rather not rehash this argument again.
And all the enemies there kept kicking my ass and I said eff it
it was all
here's a world of opportunity
and all of them are shit
no final fantasy game has ever been good
the one you're currently thinking about and saying NUH UH is not good
Look guys someone we can smack with our words together
