To be fair, we see in the sizzle reel/season 2 trailer that
T-Dog gets separated from the group during the huge zombie attack and slices the shit out of his arm.

I expect him to die in the first episode to set the tone for this season.

    Might not happen because:
I remember reading somewhere that 7 main characters received star billing in this season, and I think that T-Dog was one of them. There's some informal rule about that which says the character will then appear in X% of the seasons episodes.

Other directors have broken that rule.

    Especially in TV.

Still though. I'd say it leans on being more unlikely.

    I will say that
some of the previews seem to show t-dog safe at the farm

Did season one ever go to a streaming site like Hulu? I've got the dvds around here somewhere, but they're packed up from a recent move and I'm feeling just lazy enough to not go hunting them down.

So what's the story with the Webisodes? I didn't even know they existed until a week ago. Are they relevant to the new season (as in, are they going to reference stuff I won't catch on without watching them)?

  • TehSpectreTehSpectre Registered User regular
There is only the one arc so far and it just explains the backstory of the bicycle zombie from season one.

I'll give them a watch later. Hopefully there's a YouTube channel so I can do it through XBMC.

Wonder if we'll get the return of the Willem Dafoe Zombie?

    He's clearly the undead leader.

Bought the four TWD TV show figures at NYCC this weekend and also got the bloody TWD Comic Rick Grimes. So happy with them. I am not happy that there is also a bloody TV show Rick and black & white variants of all the figures. My money is just jumping out of my wallet.

I got the book they released about the Governor. I will probably run through that this week.

    So excited. Almost time!

I'm still ambivalent about this show. It's very well done, but it all seems so hopeless and depressing. A show about people just barely trying to survive, week in and week out, with no real long-term hopeful goal kind of wears you down.

    I kind of agree

Not even sure if I want to watch it, I can save myself lots of time by just assuming everybody suffers and most of them die and everyone who survives lives miserably ever after, because in every zombie apocalypse people all suffer from fucking moron syndrome.

Man, if it's the entire Governor arc, make sure you're in the right mindset for it.

Like, have a bunch of cartoons or something ready to watch afterward, because that whole arc...well, it's a mood killer, that's for sure.

And I will continue to wonder how in the holy hell they hope to ever adapt that for the TV series.

Daryl is fast becoming the Sawyer of the group.

Even starting to give out nicknames. He's becoming my favorite after Glen.

One thing I've noticed is that whereas other shows break every ten minutes for commercials, for the Walking Dead, the commercials are my break to start breathing at a normal pace again. :P

Oh my God that phone commercial.

    Its official: TWD sold out.

    Therefore it is terrible /sarcasm

Very tense so far , forgot what this show does to me.

    I forget
Does Rick know what's-his-name lied to and screwed his wife under the pretense that Rick died?

Because that is a plot point I want them to get done with as soon as possible.

Question about something from last season:
What was the deal with Dale, Andrea, and suicide? I can't remember what happened.

if I recall, Lori confesses to him after Shane dies.

Hard to tell how the TV series will handle it at this point.

    Edit: wow, ANOTHER tie-in commercial.

I still don't understand why in the earlier episodes there was not literally mountains of dead in front of the tanks and machine gun emplacements before they got over run.

Cause those .50 cals in the sandbag bunkers and the .50s and the .308 coaxials on the tanks should have utterly decimated entire hordes.

Andrea wanted to "opt out" in the CDC. Dale was not going to leave without her so she was compelled to leave with him.

Andrea wanted to stay in the self-destructing lab to die. Dale didn't want her to, so he threatened to stay there and die with her, and she couldn't deal with that, so they both escaped.

I'm decidedly "meh" if the tone of the show is accurately reflected by the commercials.

That Spike award commercial was weird.

Isn't Rick british in real life? Why must he continue to lie?

So this is actually just a regular-length episode with an extra half hour of commercials dropped in, right? There were seriously only two scenes between those two ad sets.

Oh shit oh shit....do you see what I see?

    (COMIC SPOILER DON'T READ)
It's looking like they're setting up Shane's exit.

All the pieces (and characters) are in play. We'll find out after the break.

It's probably about an hour long as opposed to the regular 40 minutes.

Not going to happen any time soon, too much story to still get out of that triangle.

Sure feels like it. To the point where I'd rather watch it tomorrow than live (I'd make it go past 7 days just to spite AMC).
