    It's one of the Lazax race's special abilities: "During setup, you may place any of your starting units (except your Space Dock) in systems adjacent to your Home System." Setup comes before the start of the game and the first Strategy Phase, so they get essentially a bonus turn ahead of the other players.

    By the way I only just now noticed that apparently future Earth is ruled by Danes or at least Scandinavians - the sun is called Sol(en) and the Earth, Jord(en) in the Scandinavian languages (-en is the definite article). Probably intentional when the designer is named Petersen.

    Well, when people aren't around, people aren't around. It's okay for things to be slow at the start, for teams to coordinate, but later in the game, I'm hoping that once teams are in sync with one another, the pace of the game will pick up a bit. (I suppose the idea is to go at the pace of the faster teammate once a direction has been decided upon, rather than needing to convene meticulously for each decision.)

    SeGaTai and Cayrus are up to act next.

    Map and status updates, by the way, will come after significant changes. In the beginning, when there is little interaction, these will be less frequent, but later on, I'll post them more regularly.

    Seems like those playing would have to really commit to it.

    Trade negotiations are on! Once all races have made their proposals, the N'orr may decide which to approve and which to refuse. Make sure that your negotiations are performed before you propose, since there will not be a second round of proposals!
