I remember a Ducktales episode where they find Shakespeare's lost work, a door-to-door salesman is involved somehow, and they all end up on an uncharted island occupied by classical actors.

This friday I am going to a ShotsSpeare event thing.

Which apparently combines a theatrical presentation of shakespeare, audience participation and drinking games.

    I am kinda excited.

my stomach sounds like a witch's cauldron

no joke, it's bubbling and roiling and occasionally i hear what i believe is the sharp 'pop' of a newt's eye exploding

    it's really quite discomfiting

Has there ever been a film adaptation of The Tempest?

I saw an amazing production of it up in Ashland, Oregon during the Shakespeare Festival up there (like back 2000 or 2001), but I don't think I've ever seen it produced to film.

    This sounds neat.

In my opinion every play should have audience participation.

tl;dr have you seen the latest episode of always sunny?

it's not quite 'implications' level. but there is a conversation there that is so egocentric and sociopathic it elicits the same sort of 'oh, no!' laughter. it involves a bunker and is just fucking hilarious.

You didn't see modern Romeo + Juliet if you can claim such an opinion.

Fairly recently actually, but I'm pretty sure it was a pretty limited release thing.

Romeo and Juliet is poop from a butt in its original form anyway.

No matter how much spit shine or modernization you put on it don't change that.
