    Between the pregnancy showing on a usual test and the end of the second month, the average chance to miscarry is about 20%. That is a big number that kind of makes a lot of carrying on at 4 weeks a bit premature.

    My family has generally kept it quiet until they're into the third month for exactly this reason. My sympathy would be pretty minimal due to it being a pretty common occurence.
