Unless there's no free mobile broadband available in Australia, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. Just hook yourself up to the American Amazon site and you're good to go.

I feel as though I should put a new Nerf weapon onto my list.

Have two mavericks, have the vulcan, have the recon.

    Suggestions?

I have one of these, which I quite like:

    barrelbreak1.jpg

It's no good for actual firefights but it's kind of badass for stand-offs.

Nerf guns can't be sold in Norway, so I buy them when I'm stateside and bring them back in my suitcase. I really want a raider, vulcan or recon, but they don't fit all that well in my bag (especially since I backpack and would have to carry them for a month or so).

Okay, I checked the applicable laws, and it's not that they can't be sold, but you have to be 18 or older to purchase air- and spring-fired weapons (16 if you're a member of a softgun club), and even if you do own one, you're not allowed to carry one in a public area. There's no allowance for covering a pretend weapon with bright yellow and red bits in Norway, like you do in the States.

So that pretty much makes sure that there's no viable market here except with man-children such as myself, and presumably there's not enough of us to make it worthwhile.

On the upside, I just found out yesterday that between my low income and how we get a bunch of money back every summer holiday, I'm only really taxed 2,8% of my income. Yay socialism!

    This is my informational post:

I wear Mens size Large shirts. Have have an Xbox 360 (no Kinect yet), a PS3, a Wii that I don't play anymore, a 3DS, and a decent gaming PC. My username on Xbox Live and PSN and Steam is Perrsun, so you can see what game's I've played.

I like candy... probably more than I should. I'll gladly try any food or candy or drink that is local to you.

I like reading comics, preferably in a whole-collection type thing (so I don't have to wait month-to-month to see what happens), but I don't have any of my own. The only series I own is Preacher.

I have been getting into board games recently. I own Zombie Fluxx, Monty Python Fluxx, 7 Wonders and the Leaders expansion, and Settlers of Catan. I have played and really like Dominion, Ascension, Mystery Express, and the D&D board game, but don't own any of those.

That should do it to give you an idea for who I am and what I like.

(If you REALLY don't know what to get, I would LOVE one of these if it fit me.)

Know what I would love for Satan's? I'd like some D&D-compatible miniatures. I don't care of they're "official" or if they're technically for Pathfinder or anything like that. I just want some little figures to use when I play. Humans, tieflings, dragonborn, elves, dwarves, all are good. Be sure they have a 1" base and I'll be able to use them in games.

I used to have a blast painting my brother's Space Marines despite having no interest in picking up a protractor and playing the game.

Some paint would be appreciated too if you need to round out the gift. I have the glue already.

You'd probably have fun rumaging around the Reaper and Ral Partha websites.

Even the figs without 1" square bases shouldn't be a problem; it's easy enough to cut out a 1" square of cardboard, and some green putty and so on will make each base unique and much more interesting than the black square you get with GW figs.

    Oh, Tank, that reminds me:

Does anyone have a suggestion for an entry level D&D or D&D-esque module or game?

Here's the thing of it, I would be DMing the campaign for my group of friends. Which means a few things: It would have to have a one off ability because I don't think they're going to sit down for an extended campaign. It would have to be pretty easy to understand for 1) someone who hasn't DM'd before and 2) people who are going to be playing this reluctantly. I need to be ability to "modify" the role of gods if there are any (while not bible thumpers, the concept of "gods" vs. God doesn't stomach well with them). Is alright if the party is only three to four people.

I have bought and sold hotels for them, rerouted power lines, conducted trains, shipped goods, commanded armies and all manner of other game related nonsense that if I push them hard to it, they'll be forced to play at least one campaign.

Also WotC/Hasbro has released a line of D&D-based board games. Conquest of Nerath is 2-4 players and is in the style of Risk and Axis & Allies. There are also three others that are cooperative based, where the players all work together to "beat" the game.

Ral Partha are British, so I can't imagine shipping would be too much of a problem, but there'd probably be some cost attached to it since figs weigh quite a bit. And you should check if there's some customs charge.

    ...

Okay, according to their website, if you're outside of the Euro zone (which you are), you can knock off the VAT charge on orders over £10, so everything is 16.67% cheaper. Shipping is based on weight, but they've got a handy calculator in the shopping cart.

Do note that they estimate 28 days for deliveries within Britain (probably have to cast the damn things), and another 4-5 days for deliveries in the United States, so it's not the most instant of gratifications.
