I don't know if the misspelling was intentional, Geek, but it gave me a chuckle all the same.
I think its more of a font issue than a 'misspelling'...
I see an I there.
Unless it's something I missed.
I agree that it is a font issue. At first glance it looked to me like "Raimus" instead of "Ramius". Putting the I before the M is the number-one way in which my handle gets misspelled.

And I agree, might as well have a fun last night whenever that ends up being. Cause a little mess for deni to clean up. Ride that H bomb Ramius, ride 'er.
We should ensure this forum remains Ramius's Place regardless of how many admins come and go.

Erm, personally, I would say switch it to Deni's Place, just because it's an issue of functonality, especially for members who are yet to join.
Ramius deserves to be imortalized in the forum in some way (perhaps a quote on the main page, or some such thing) but I think that leaving this as Ramius' place might confuse newcomers.
Especially because I can already see a new "who is Ramius?" thread popping up ever other week.

The description of the forum should be enough. Anyone new coming in wouldn't know who deni is either.
And I think this forum does make a nice symbol of Ramius's admining style. Unlike most admins on boards approaching this size, he was realy accessable.

I dunno, it still seems to me like "Hey, we really liked Ramius, let's commemerate him by, uh, leaving this forum named after him." I mean, great, he get's the forum where people go to bitch about their problems.
I think finding a worthy quote of his and putting it on the forum index page would be a lot nicer.

Granted people did come here to bitch, but I think the other aspect was his availibility to the forumers.
I do see you're point, but I think posting a quote on the index page is a little gaudy.
Actually, I hate the fact that everyone is making it seem like you've got some kind of horrid disease and that they are pulling the plug on you in two weeks. They should be happy that you are moving on to bigger and brighter things.
Besides, you said you'll be back now and then. What's everyone so maudlin about? Now he has just as much right to get jailed as everyone else; not that anyone would really do it.

I just realized that Deni is coming to DC in just under two weeks.
Hmmm.....
Oh well. Just leaves more poontang for us real men running Win 95.

Go to the G&T chat thread and move it there.
And...95?! 98SE is where it's at...
