Man, you know what. Fuck this.

I'm not passing on anything that I can use in any spec ever again. If no one else is going to have the fucking decency to pass loot to the people in that role than neither will I.

All day I've been losing gear to people doing other shit. dps taking tank gear. tanks taking dps gear. healers taking hit gear.

I've run literally 15 heroics today and have gotten 3 wins of anything total. Many things have dropped that I can use, but I keep losing them to people being shitfuckers.

At least stuff you want has been dropping. I've been running the new 5 mans all day and haven't seen one of the 3 things that I actually want from them, at all.

I kind of went straight into raiding. I was only in pvp gear but we cleared the place without a wipe. LFR seems to be extremely easy

I'd rather it not drop at all than drop and some cat druid take a int/sta ring or a healer take hit cloth shoulders or a holy pally take a tanking shield etc.

Lack of drops is frustrating, but nothing compared to watching some jackoff click need just because they can. Last night a druid tried to win a str trinket from my warrior.

A druid who was a moonkin.

Everyone playing this game is terrible and I guess I'll just join in then because I'm sick of it.

Oh, on the note of ninja'ing, for some reason Str cloaks/rings/necks are needable on Hunters.

Do you have a better suggestion to not getting shat on all day?

Because I typically never roll need against someone who needs it when it is loot for their role. Unless they're a complete asshole during the run then I think twice. But that's pretty damn rare that someone pisses me off enough for that. However if someone rolls offspec need against me early in an instance, yeah, you sure as hell better believe I'm not going to pass if its something I can use later on.

But that hasn't served me at all because no one else plays by those rules. At some point when you notice you're the only one not playing every man for himself, you have to reassess how you're playing the game. Be all high and mighty, wonderful, but that isn't worth a damn when you lose roll after roll to someone who doesn't give one shit about you or anyone else. You can only be a floor mat for so long before you realize no one else is playing the same game.

If blizzard had not been idiots and implemented the loot rule system they put into LFR into LFD I wouldn't be here right now bitching. But for some dumb as shit reason they decided not to and to leave heroics as they are with their weak system they've always used.

But at this point there's not really any other option than to just join in the shitfest. Obviously if I'm playing with people who are decent (and you can typically tell pretty early on), I'm not going to be an asshole. But if people are pricks off the bat I don't even care anymore. You're going to bitch about my pvp shoulders and then fucking take the item I can use to improve that slot? yeah. Fuck you. It's not my fault that blizzard decided for some stupid fucking reason that there is no way to get non-pvp shoulders outside of one specific boss per spec or raiding, but there you go. And since they're the most apparent thing on your avatar and some dickhead sees them and thinks "fuck them, pvp gear, I'm taking everything" so you can never get gear? yeah. Awesome. I ran enough zulroics on my warlock to get 2 pairs of vp bracers pre 4.3. I checked this afternoon for how many 353 items I had that weren't directly from quests.

    four.

Sure I had bad luck with some drops, but easily every slot of gear I lost to someone else not in the dps role at least once.

This happened to me when the ZG's were released. Like why the fuck does the warrior tank need my healing shoulders?....and the rest of the group was like but he deserves them. WTF? REALLY? I have grown to hate people more because of this game. Most of my friends have moved on to something else so it might be time to hang it up and move to other things...just wish GW2 was released so I would have something to go to.

I've had the odd idiot who was afraid to tank reap the rewards of my actual tanking, but nothing like what you all describe. They tend to not do it until the last boss. If they do it before that (to me or anyone else), we sit until they either give up the loot, leave, or kick me. It's pretty rare though.

I've not had much problem there, except for times when I want to roll offspec need on healing gear and it turns out the group has a paladin healer with legitimate need rolls on what I want. Ran End Time the other day, the caster spirit axe dropped, he won it. The healing plate belt dropped, he won it. Right before we pulled the last boss I predicted the healing plate legs would drop, and I was right.

But I won it because he already had 378-level tier legs. Overall, ever since the patch I can't recall an incident of people rolling Need on my tank loot drops.

I dunno, be the better man? It doesn't really matter either way since its just a game, but yeah, go ahead and become the very jerk that you hate.

Personally, I just laugh it off cause I don't really care that much.

Oh, and I actually pass on items I want a lot of times because I feel like being nice. Though, I haven't had the chance to do this in a while due to playing a Hunter currently. Its very rare I get a second Agi mail user in the group.

Get a guild, play with people who don't suck?

I mean, there are several PA guilds that are pretty active, last I checked.

Or you could not care that much about the gear treadmill. I mean, that's what the game is, but I had plenty of fun in LFR and I wasn't there for the gear. If the game's starting to piss you off this much, take a break.

I agree the roll bonus system should've been implemented in heroics, but that's just one of the long-ass list of blunders Blizzard has made this expansion. I've come to expect it more or less constantly. Any time they do something that ISN'T completely retarded, I'm suprised.

Ugh that cutscene when you kill Deathwing.

I remember when Blizzard used to be able to create compelling, engaging little cutscenes that really made you wish they would get into the movie business.

That was not one of them.
It was more the baby thing than anything else that annoyed me. Could they really not have written that any better?

Oh, and the revelation that "this is the age of mortals" ... Was it not before? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think "mortals" have been doing all the fighting, leading, and heavy lifting in turning back the evils of the cosmos for a long time, now.

It's also not helpful that the moment, which might've been inspiring, is undercut by the knowledge that we're immediately going from this moment of hope into an even bloodier war. It left me depressed. What better way to illustrate the importance of mortality than ... not learning anything at all and continuing to pointlessly waste lives by the thousands?
When it's humans v orcs, sure. But the titans kind of made dragons to explicitly be the guardians of the world, and this was just basically a realization that they're not anymore. We have a tendency to run to them for help whenever there's a problem we can't seem to solve, like the burning legion attacking or getting help against the lich king, but since it was mortals who actually destroyed deathwing, which they're partly to blame for, it seems appropriate to pass the torch. Though I do agree the cutscene is dumb.

I thought it was a call toward the prior books
The last time the Aspects forged their energies into the Dragon Soul, it took from them pretty much being Gods to merely "really really powerful" - and that to kill Deathwing, they had to forge their energy into the Dragon Soul AGAIN; this time knocking them down another peg to "pretty powerful, but a lot squishier."

Less "Hope for a new age!" more Diablo 2 parallel?

Which reminds me, how long does it take to get the rereleased Lightforge gear from the Darkmoon Faire? I think I've only got a duplicate Lightforge Helm left over, with all the rest of it being traded in for Soulforge years ago.

Well my humanity (EDIT: Faith in? both?) is moderately restored. Priest in all firelands gear for some reason needed the staff off benedictus. I asked nicely and pointed out my pathetic int-less staff off ahune and he traded it to me.

EDIT: Totally unrelated, anyone have an idea why atlasloot, instead of actually openning now simply goes straight to the options when I click on it?

Oh god, the Wrath leveling is so much more enjoyable now.

Not only do you require much less experience, but they fixed a bunch of quests that I've done so far.

Tons of quests that used to take too long (saving people with gryphons in Dragonblight, collecting stag meat, etc, in Grizzly Hills...) have been fixed.

although I guess we only had time to try it like five times

Some tips for you which you may already know... ;) And sorry I dont remember the real names on some of the abilities.

*Tanking the adds together on the Sapper side made things easier on us. Tanks swap adds of course so always kill the Slayer first as the Death-whatever always drops first.
*Sappers->Big Pig Pile Explosion->Tanked Adds=Harpooning->Small Pig Pile Explosion. The kill we got we basically put the Small Explosion lowest on the to do list. Even below killing the tanked adds. The ship was at 19% when we went into p2 so it kind of worked.
*No mans land where adds come down. We had a couple people die trying to cover a small explosion and having an add drop on them. This issue dissapeared when we put the tank add killing higher on the to do list but it can still happen.
*Bring people in close to Blackthorn. It is a cone so the closer they are the less they have to move.
    * Some strats say to ignore the dragon thingy that blackthorn rides. We found it easier to just help it on its way. Less fire patches on the ground means less chance to screw up the shockwave.

So I mostly play Horde, but I also have an Alliance character on the same battlegroup, but a different server. I decide after my fabulous, one-shotting experience Horde side, I will try to play my little Alliance character that I have been neglecting for months. Huge mistake. Couldn't even find an LFR group that wasn't wiping on Yorsahj. Totally incapable of stacking for red, if they could even kill a slime. It was just the worst thing I've ever seen, even with someone using a mod that told everyone which slime to kill.

Was most likely just bigwigs or dbm with a priority list. Speaking of that I did a LFR on my Warrior as DPS and people had just a wrong priority list. Wierd thing is I kept quiet as we wiped and just left.

So yeah, Madness is pretty intense. I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to do the fight. We tried Y-N-K-A pattern, but we were murdered by the elementium bolt on Kalecgos's platform.

Also, I heard a rumor that 10 man madness is overtuned right now? Anyone know anything about that? Would partially explain why I'm hemorrhaging mana (the other part being moving to a haste build).

This is something really raid dependent. We haven't killed it yet but we have gotten it into phase 2. We tried several combinations. I'm just gonna list the ones that worked best. Using colors because I forgot the names.

With 2 healer 1 tank, we did R-Y-G-B. We only made it to p2 once with this setup. Peeps are kind of bad at killing blistering tentacles.

With 3 healer 1 tank, we did G-R-Y-B. Controlling the fight during was better and for some reason we killed stuff alot faster despite legendary spriest switching to offspec disc. Helped that we had extra oh shit buttons from healers.

From maybe like 20? attempts, saving dps buff for last seems like the best option in any situation, at least for my raid.
