I didn't really like Valyria much

But she is cooler now because she built a lightsaber

Also Bentley useful in the future? I hope so, he's a cool character.

Kind of a middling week, really. Uncanny #2 was kind of a let down, and even Thunderbolts was relatively bland.

Daredevil #6 maintained its quality though, and I was expecting Waid to make a callback to his FF run, but only slightly hinted at it. Bruiser is an interesting villain though:

Thunderbolts #166 had Troll play My Fair Lady:

And Archie #627 was actually a fun read, and that is just a lovely Francivilla cover. It's the first Archie comic I've ever read but was fun, KISS was prominent, and I guess all the other Archie characters hang out in the same world.

    Read 4 books this week.

    Only Daredevil was really good.

Ultimates is still moving wayyyy to fast. I like that Hickman knows not to stretch a story out unlike certain other Marvel writers, but the pacing feels off because things jump forward so quickly.

Uncanny was just sort of... ok. I'll keep reading it until all the zany Celestial stuff is over.

I've never read a Johnny DC book before, so I didn't know what to expect from Green Lantern TAS 0, but it was not worth the $3.

Legion secret origin was really good! I like brainy and TINYA WAZZO's whole thing they've got going on there.

    Sooo

T-Bolts continues to be wonderful and amazing and so goddamn good. I loved this issue, the writing was great, it really managed to combine that sort of 19th century fiction feel seen in the way the detectives talked, with superhero comics, which is a very impressive feat.

FF was also great, Hickman seems to be weaving a real masterpiece here that connects into his SHIELD and Secret Warriors stuff. No real complaints, though the art could have been better.

    "Ride or Die?" asked Goku

"Ride or Die" confirmed Dominic Toretto, as they took off to find the Dragon Balls in hopes of reviving their friend Sonic

    yup.

having finally caught up on all things Ultimate, I am pretty fucking excited to see what Hickman does with the new Ultimates villain.

also the fact that The People vs. The Children of Tomorrow was teased in the backmatter holy fuck.
Also it's pretty cool how he basically made an evil Ultimate version of the FF
    .

A lot of the new stuff in the Ultimate universe can be described as the "Ultimate version of..." but is a lot less obvious about it then the previous "who will be Ultimitized this time?" comics and its a lot more fun. Specifically we have...
The Nimrod-esc Sentinels in Ultimate X-men
Ultimate Hawk-eye features a floating Island that reminds me of Providence
Asgard coming to Earth and the Siege-esc attack on Asgard after
Thor being the only God left and keeping them alive in someway (or is he just crazy?)
The Children are similar to the FF

I really like that the Ultimate Universe is now a place that could never exist in the Original Marvel Universe.
