So... I've never seen Die Hard. Any of them. But my interest is piqued. They have a trilogy set at FutureShop for 30 bucks. Would that be a good deal?

If you come back here without being able to tell me what is "built for economy, not for speed," I will take your eyes!

A few years back I almost had to punch a girl in the back of the head as I left a re-run of Die Hard at the uni cinema for saying, "I'd never heard of this before, but he was really good in that Sixth Sense."

    Urge to kill... rising.

Man, what year is it? Bruce Willis kicking ass this week and Optimus Prime next week? I feel like it's the 80's again.

Saw it last night, great action flick, leave your brain at the door.

I really did not like all the fake computer screens (ala Hackers from the 90's, common, at least try to make it a little more realistic. It was a little TOO over the top here.) and the fact every outside shot was brown and every interior shot was blue/green.

However all that was forgiven since they had an awesome henchmen 'Rand' that actually could survive fights (he was totally a 'Die Hard'). Extra points as well for making the villians NOT an obvious ethnic minority (Good to see Americans/French can still be the bad guys)

Saw it last night fucking loved it, the three other people loved it as well.

    About kills in the movie
God damn was McClane cruel in this one, when he chucked the guy down a flight of stairs everyone in the theater issued an ooooohhhh, also kicking the guy from b-13 and kiss of the dragon into the air conditioner was like adios

Don't be too put off by the pg-13, they cut down on language and 80s style blood explosions, but the movie has a lot of action and for something that is 2 hours and 10 minutes it certainly doesn't feel like it's overly long and its really a roller coaster all the way through. The jokes are also very funny. The audience I saw it with all clapped at the credits.

So I watched Die Hard this morning at work. Yeah, slow day. For obvious reasons I'd always had it pegged as a mindless action flick. How come nobody ever told me that it's actually... a good movie?

What the fuck no one told you Die Hard was a good movie? I don't know anyone who doesn't like it.

I know, right? What the hell!

Had an awesome crowd at my theater. I think the most positive response was from the line at the end:
    "Why did you shoot yourself?"

"It seemed like a good idea at the time.

    ...

Don't tell these guys I did that."

Glad to hear anecdotally this movie is doing well, I thought all of the comedic lines were solid, especially long's towards the end
It was something like I have heard that tone before it just sounds weird coming from someone with hair

I also thought it was cool even though Farrell wasn't supposed to be a bad ass he still tried even though it was failure for the most part.

This movie is the best Die Hard, maybe tied with 1, and one of the best "Generic" Action Movies I've seen in a long time.

Here's to hoping Rambo 4 brings the awesome also.

Die Hard 1 had less "Brain, I don't care what you think about the plot!" moments than 4. 4 is still an awesome fucking action movie so it's forgiven all it's faults.

Ugh, I can't believe it's been reviewed so well, I thought it was awful. It could have passed for an alright action movie until the stupid goddamn fighter jet.

It did make me want to go watch the original again though.

Unrated DVD cut. While I still think they should have just left it be with the R rating, at least you can feel comfortable with the fact that the DVD is coming. Also turn in your balls at the front desk.

I think what I'm trying to say is I was expecting a movie in the vein of Die Hard, not just another generic action movie.
