Then how do they distinguish between blue and green?

This thread confuses and scares me.

    I missed the joke.

    Please don't hurt me.
You needed to read the threads in the whine subforum about D&D.

Black is white and white is black.

I don't see a logical contradiction. It just means that when I close my eyes I see very dark white. And very dark black.

Of course the definition is pretty useless, but hey... so's most of philosophy.

    ---

Think about "Red", for example. Is Red cadmium red? Is it bright red? Is it dark red?

It's not just a single definite balance of light with values for different wavelengths. It's a set of different shades that are close to each other.

The new definition for Black and White is also a set. The difference to the old way of thinking just means that the set isn't continuous.

I'm green/blue colorblind, so I can't participate without the use of wavelength graphs.

Apples and potatoes actually taste the exact same, but the different smells of them make them taste different.

Only for some things. It gets confusing when someone tells you they prefer blue apples though.

edit: "aoi" is blue and "midori" is green but a green apple is "ao-ringo" not "midor-ringo"

Yes,... yes, I agree. It's totally unfair that sober you gets into trouble for things that drunk you did.

potato in French is "dirt apple" so french fries, in French is "pom frites" or "fried apples"

I doubt that, shouldn't an apple be far more sour than a potato?

I am green-green colorblind (can't tell the difference between certain shades of green) and I cannot taste apples. Also, I have no soul - so, confirmed.
