The "BIKINI state" has just as unclear as the US one. I mean "Black Special" what the hell?

"Black Special" and "Amber" make them sound like they're rating drinks instead of danger. And why the hell is it called "BIKINI" anyway?

Oh, by the way...looks like my flawed logic in the OP was, you know, right. So, nyah.

By the way, one of the suspects has died of burns.

To all of you in the UK, I wish you well. We're all hoping that this is just a couple of yahoos who had a bad idea, and not something worse.

Flawed logic can lead to correct answers. The logic is still flawed though.

I don't know why it's called Bikini though.

Diana concert tomorrow. An attack there would attack the very heart of Britain
    Royalty and Football

I recall, after the July bombings, a quote from one of the survivors was "we've been bombed by better". I really think that holds true.

If you ever combined the ability of the IRA with the fanaticism available to the Muslim terrorists then, well, you'd get 9-11 I guess.

But incompetent jackasses I can just about live with.

I love it when the BBC clean up eyewitness accounts. I'm sure the word he actually used did start with "f", though.

I'm going to write to my MP to complain. The government should be taking steps to ensure our terrorists can keep pace with our competitors in the global marketplace.

I gotta say these 'terrorists' must be home grown, the airport attack and carbombs are so incredibly amateur. The kind of explosives they are using, petrol and gas canisters are the kinda shit we used to blow up in the woods as kids.

We're just lucky that none of these guys were intelligent enough to put together a real weapon.

This is all very embarrassing, I mean come on, how hard can it be to blow yourself up, really?

We get a three-pronged terrorist attack and the only actual injury that comes out of it is that one of the terrorists sets himself on fire.

Actually, that's a point; why the hell would you attack Glasgow Airport? It's not a strategic target at all....
I think someone said something about holiday makers, but that makes no sense either.

Also, we currently have important things to worry about, like flooding. Incompetent terrorists sort of get lost in the shuffle...

You hit one airport then you'll cause chaos throughout the network (as it is the heightened security will no doubt have led to some flight delays - increased security, etc).

From experience Glasgow is a bit more relaxed than, say, Heathrow. It was probably viewed as an easier target.

Or maybe it's just local to the terrorists? two guys see the car bomb stuff on London and start feeling left out!
