You never ask if there is a mod of something. Whenever you ask "Is there a mod?" you have to switch the two first words around and drop the question mark.

I don't like how subtle contracting vampirism is. In Oblivion I didn't realise I had it until it had fully set in, by which stage it was either revert 3 days' progress or go on some epic quest to cure yourself permanently.
And it seems similar in Skyrim. You get a notification in the corner of the screen in the middle of combat, and you might not necessarily realise you're fighting vampires (instead of some jerk mages) and there's a risk you'll catch it.
It does talk about thirst when the sun sets which is kind of helpful at least.

Also, people you talk to will say you look pail and you'll have minor status effects during day and night.
Oh, and if you go to your magic page there's a spot that shows all current effects on you. Diseases are always red vs the white buffs. Then there's the fact I touch a statue for a blessing every chance I have, so I clear that shit out all the time.
I'm waiting until I finish my home theater to play this. Got the materials and epuipmet for a 7.1 infinity/Harmon Kardon surround sound with 145" 1080p projector screen. Just gotta get the wiring finished and the screen built.
