Seriously, is it me, or is it Hollywood? Nothing caught my eye, and I saw those comicbook movies mostly out of a sense that I had to because it was my duty as a geek.

The film has earned mostly mixed reviews from critics. Albert Nobbs currently holds a 53% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 51 reviews.

    wow seriously?? I wonder why
even a film based on a great concept or short story can turn out to be bad or mediocre

Oh wow ahahaha, apparently there is a huge shitstorm because this is like, the worst reviewed movie that got a Best Picture Nom ever or something. It's too bad, other movies deserved that nom.

I hope Oldman gets his Oscar, he deserves it.

Maybe it's that there wasn't really a big "event" geek movie last year. Thor and Captain America (and Harry Potter kinda, but that was the 8th fucking one of those so fatigue set in) were pretty much it. Compare to previous years, going back: Inception, Star Trek, Dark Knight, 300, Casino Royale, Batman Begins, Spider-Man 2, LOTR, LOTR, LOTR.
