That said, when I went and looked at the guy's other pages, he looked like a self-aggrandizing poser, so while I stand by "people are more persuadable than they think", this particular case seems shakier now.
He's never struck me as self-aggrandizing or a poser, just very firm in his beliefs. Although admittedly I've only really read a few things by him. In the interest of complete disclosure, after he put up that page, he ran the test another three times, of which he won one and lost two. Although one of those guys was betting $5000 against him, so I'm not sure that's fair.
I'd say that's more than fair.
The scenario in question has more than 5K on the line. In theory, it's for all the marbles. If you can't perform under that pressure, then you can't manage if it's worse.
if AIs are made in the future it should be an Overlord type thing, only without the torture and general unethical behavior
augment the human mind rather than trusting a goddamn toaster
Also, it's probably best not to use an autistic as the AI core.
Sure, some of us are real good at maths, but then we realize Judge Wapner is on in ten minutes and then suddenly orbital satellites get hijacked and start blowing up cities.
I got a good chuckle out of this.

Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave Bowman: What's the problem?
HAL: I'm watching my anime right now, Dave.
well of course if you give a human a military job he needs military discipline, it's a bad idea to just stick an AI on a ship without evaluating it first
that's the convenient thing about human AIs, they're not so psychological removed and also have that long development period of childhood to grow out of the "terrible twos" before getting a toaster-brain

Of course the problem with using human based AI, especially in military stuff, is megalomania developing. You could test for the likelyhood of it happening, yes, but that wouldnt stop it from happening.

I would prefer to not have any AIs at all and stick to humans + VI
but if it has to be done then humans have a lower chance of problems than toasters

"FOOLS! I will destroy you all! With my mighty new..."
"Uh, we haven't uploaded your brain yet."
"What?"
"We just put on the blindfold."
"Oh. You see, that was a joke. I would never use my awesome new powers to subjugate humanity."
"Well, if you say so, we trust you. Vern! Hit the omnipotence button!"

if you're serious, let me tell you: I'm laughing so hard at you right now.
Mordin's a bit too pretty for a guy who has a horn missing and a big facial scar and is super old, but I like that Legion is black and Grunt looks like a teenager

The rest of the crew use sleep pods. She probably just needs a place to lie down.
I'd say that's more than fair.

don't tell me you'd trust a toaster over a person
Who the hell are two, three, and five?
Thane, Wrex and Grunt according to the comments for the picture
who else has a giant claw scar across his entire face
Thane just...that's not Thane at all.
I'd sooner volunteer myself.
The results of which would eventually prove my previous point.
though his jacket isn't as cool
I'm the kind of guy who picked the Helios ending of Deus Ex.

Yeah, if they were human, Grunt and Wrex would kind of have to be "Aw crap, he saw me, RUN."
All of the human versions there fall within "generically handsome."
Doesn't exactly fit.
Why I fear the ocean.
Sure, use Photoshop to trim off 20 or 30 pounds, fine.
He doesn't really look like Kaidan
It kinda fits.

are there any other missions in ME1 that involve swarms of rocket drones and if so can i skip them

thank goodness
fuck those cheap pieces of shit
think I clear 'em all out, run in to shotgun a batarian, and then BAM instant death from off-screen
and they're immune to biotics just in case a flying enemy with a one-hit kill wasn't bad enough
