More than 10 million handwritten notes have been exchanged in the four weeks after the launch of the SwapNote service. And, I believe that the number of handwritten notes to be exchanged will increase at an accelerated pace if we can have users continue to enjoy the software for a long time. In fact, we have some plans to encourage more people to use it, and you will find out what I am talking about when we reveal such plans in the future.

Wow. I'd be curious just how many notes have been sent just within our community, because it seems like a LOT.
I'm hoping that these "plans" are for some of the following:
Colors
Multiple layers of 3D
More ink
Zoom to allow for detail drawing, or line thickness selection
Was there a drawing app for the 3DS? I thought I remember hearing about one.
There was Flipnote Studio for DSiware that was an animation program with only black, red and blue as color options. You could also add synced-up sound clips. There's a site for sharing them, commenting and rating. Nintendo said something about Flipnote for 3DS ages ago but some people think they were just referring to Swapnote.
There is also Colors! 3D coming to the 3DS eShop sometime in the first quarter here, which is a third party art program that will also have a site for sharing, rating etc.
Swapnote has been not letting me send out any messages or replies. Incoming notes have been coming in as usual, has this happened to anyone else? I checked my settings to see if I had changed anything, and I don't have 3000 notes yet either so its not that.
It's been doing it for like a week. It's weird I can send my notes, and they all fly up into the sky as usual, but then they fall down and it says it cannot send note via spotpass, with no further explanation. I don't know what to doooo!

Well, you made a reply to a Triforce drawing on 2/3 and I received that so replies still work?
Or maybe I only received the reply on the 3rd?

I play Mario Kart 7 daily, SwapNote is great and I'd like to try that RPG thing, I'll also be playing Heroes of Ruin when it's released in a couple of months. If you do end up deleting Swapnote, redownloading it, and it still doesn't work, remember to delete the related save data. Just keep in mind, all of your notes and all your progress and everything you may have unlocked (stationery, ability to add sounds, etc.) will be gone if you delete this data. It may be on your SD card, but I'm not sure if you can back this up.
I had a similar problem with Nintendo Video around New Years after they had that weird telethon thing. It kept telling me my save data was corrupted and when I tried to reinitialize everything, it just soft locked on the wait screen. I ended up deleting Nintendo Video and its save data, then redownloading it off of the eShop. Worked fine after that. Keep in mind though that I didn't care about losing the save data since Nintendo Video always rotates out and deletes old videos so it's not like I was losing anything.
The information contained within my DS is a bit of a mystery to me, and I'm kinda afraid to tamper with it. But I'll give it a few more days, and hopefully it will let me send notes again...I HOPE!!!
