My only complaint with Aris is his conversation with Jared saying that harassment and the FGC is one in the same. He's right to a degree... its an element that's present in the fgc. The problem is that he never claimed that its an element that needs changing.

I don't think that James is trying to run damage control. He is saying things that need be said. Unfortunately, this society is one that looks for a single cause for problems... and though James is combating that, it won't work. At any rate, I agree with him on the Aris front, to an extent, but his words on the FGC in general (if you can read behind what he is trying to present from a neutral, professional, state) echo a lot of what we have been saying in this very thread.
I could write an entire treatise on my thoughts on the FGC that I've held for many years, since 2003 at least, that would bring up points that I don't think anyone in the FGC has in the forefront of their mind.
But who the hell would really want to read it, and what good would it do?

He didn't just say harassment he said "sexual harassment" and he didn't just neglect to claim it needs changing he defended it's presence as something that's essential and makes the community special. He's certainly an idiot but he's also a man with a truly twisted sense of what is acceptable behavior.
