I find it telling that even the harsher of those two articles whitewashes Breitbart's crimes against journalism, both by not bothering to mention his slanderous hack job of an attack on Shirley Sherrod and by giving him and his little acolyte O'Keefe far too much credit for their ACORN scam.

DEAR READER: In the first decade of the DRUDGEREPORT Andrew Breitbart was a constant source of energy, passion and commitment. We shared a love of headlines, a love of the news, an excitement about what’s happening. I don’t think there was a single day during that time when we did not flash each other or laugh with each other, or challenge each other. I still see him in my mind’s eye in Venice Beach, the sunny day I met him. He was in his mid 20′s. It was all there. He had a wonderful, loving family and we all feel great sadness for them today… MDRUDGE

It's certainly giving a romantic vibe to their encounters.

Farewell, Andrew Breitbart: champion of hate and bile, a mighty Sith Lord, trapped in a universe where the Force is fictional. The time I mourned you was over before I had finished writing the sentence that it was time to mourn you. I mourned you for a negative amount of time. I wasn't even aware that was possible.

You were just special like that, I guess.

    Goodnight, sour princeling.

Andrew Breitbart was 'in talks with CNN' over new show with Anthony Weiner before he died aged just 43

I mentioned it in the other thread, but I re-iterate that I had hoped for Breitbart to live a long and healthy life in federal prison. I have no comment on whether or not it is a "pound you in the ass" federal prison.

Seriously, I don't mourn him, but I do mourn the chance for him to be completely and utterly discredited and punished for his lies.

Seriously the best thing you can hope for from these people is that they die early from their obesity and transfats.

Look, here's a real attack on tornado victims
Ohio Gov. John Kasich said thanks but no thanks to immediate federal disaster relief Saturday, even as governors in Indiana and Kentucky welcomed the help.

Kasich did not rule out asking for assistance later, but his decision means tornado-ravaged towns in Ohio will not get federal aid now and are not eligible at this time for potentially millions of dollars in payments and loans.

Seems like what happened in Russia might also violate the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, so now they're being investigated by the FBI.

Honestly, we really do need to point out that bible belt=tornado alley so that they stop mouthing off about "godlessness" every time something bad happens anywhere near the coast.

This is based entirely on my own memory of discussions before I came to the US, but I've always been under the impression that the United States is struck by more tornadoes than the rest of the world combined.

Or perhaps, more accurately, more tornado-caused fatalities.

According to Wikipedia, Bangladesh averages more tornado fatalities than the US (recent years have been skewed by an unusual number of strikes on urban areas), but the US reports far more tornadoes than anyone else. Not sure if it is more than all others combined, though.
