    Order the D-Officer to fabricate a conspiracy with all available personel, set course for the Airstrip, initate decompression of the heavy infantry kit as soon as the gunship template has been decompressed and order the Rail Titan to built a network.

    If our goosery with the disks causes a response, I'd like to have it pointed at someone else if possible. The network will aid us in keeping a good supply of resources and if we take control of the airfield, we might be able to gain our own air support.

    Well, it wasnt how want to start things off but I think we made an impression.

    Strategy: We have seen some combat now and it looks deep. Priority number one should be filling these IFV with some infantry and then adding some support. Medium term we need to have some anti-air capabilities to fight the massive retaliation airstrikes that I am sure are inbound.

    So what are we thinking for doctrine long term? What do you guys want our forces to look like a 100 ticks out?

    It seems apparent to me that our first priority should be to stock up on Androids till we're at capacity. This means we need fuel to keep the Zettabay running (that thing is gulping it down). It looks like personnel are the most cost-effective force multipliers we have available, so I propose a policy of Androids for general crew, and pulping our organic crew into Officers.

    We also should get the regenerative megaresistor tiles, because that's a freebie.

    Cobra Faction is openly engaged in hostilities against us. They can be expected to continue deploying units at a rate of 1d6 every 10 Ticks. The lethality of units and rate of deployment is expected to increase as hostilities continue.

    Incoming hostiles!

    Some more troops was tempting but we need a general to protect our factory and you know, it's a war Titan.

    The SAM vs air cav was hard but we need some protection from aircraft.

    As for the radar/probes, we are in no shape to be going on the offensive. We need to concentrate on building up our forces and that takes sites.

    I think we should make all our mechanized infantry useful by putting some troops in 'em. I also want some corvus class soonish. We need more humans desperately so we can pulp more engi officers and stuff.
    As for our research, the regenerative tiles would give us much needed defense and will be done soon enough to actually do us good in the current engagement. I also think we are unlikely to meet aircraft as of right now.

    Well my thought was that if we are burning tiles now we are screwed anyway. With the situation we are in (outnumbered and outgunned) we cannot afford to be on our backfoot. We have to keep thinking long term and try to get 50 clicks of building caught up.

    Folks, I would your feedback. I'm thinking of implementing two pretty major changes for the next update:

    1) I do not like the 'Ticks' mechanic; it's a lot clunkier than I thought it would be and it slows the game down, which is the opposite of it's intended function. I want to phase-out this mechanic, and give everything a simple resource cost (including movement & research: the KaT will accumulate CPU points every turn to spend on templates and Ingress points every turn to spend on reaching locations. This will also give me something to do with the Super Conveyance upgrade). If you can afford it, it builds / is researched in 1 turn.

    2) I want to give things an up-front crew cost. I think this will be less clunky than later having crew assigned to vehicles, while achieving exactly the same result. It also gives an advantage to setting-up factories, since vehicles produced at factories have no crew cost.


    Any objections / other thoughts? Anyone prefer to just keep playing with the Ticks system? Obviously you'll keep all of your present progress even if I change-up the mechanics.

    What I've got in mind here to to keep KiTKaT defended and pointing the finger at someone else while still building terror against Cobra. Once we can refuel the Abduction Disks I'd like to send them back out, too. Even if we Placate them, they're bound to start getting nervous as we continue to lobe clip/disintegrate/COLLOSSINATE their neighbors.

    I don't know what a tankovore is but we need as many as possible.

    We have enough time to head to the defense ministry and get back to defend the factory. These groups of IFV don't seem too bad right now so between the giant tank we are and our rail Titan I don't think we have anything to worry about tank defense wise.

    Disregard, did not read orders closely enough.

    Though we really need more stuff to put in our IFVs. How does the units that the Orion create work? Are they regular units that can be assigned to different generals or will they always travel with Orion?

    We are decpeticons now guys. With a general made out of tanks, a transport made out of trains and a IFV that eats tanks! We are living the dream!
